Vadim was born in November 1974 in the city of Anzhero-Sudzhensk, Kemerovo Region. Until the eighth grade (according to Takmenev himself), the future journalist dreamed of a career as a surgeon, very often visiting his aunt's work. Takmenev in a relationship is distinguished by constancy. With his future wife, Elena, he met in his student years.
