Faculties of RATI GITIS

Variety Faculty
In 1973, the department of variety art appeared at GITIS. It trains specialists in the field of stage direction and acting. Both full-time and part-time courses are available. The duration of the course in the acting program is four years, to become a director, you need to study 10 semesters. On the basis of the faculty there is a department of variety art.
Scenography Faculty
It was founded in 1992 and is the youngest in the institute. The term of study at the faculty is 5 years. On its basis, there is only one department - scenography.
After graduation, students can obtain qualifications such as theater production designer, stage costume designer, puppet theater production designer. Also available is the direction of technology for the decoration of the performance.
College department
The faculty in question trains choreographers for ballet, operetta and musical comedy theaters, choreographic groups, folk dance and pop ensembles, as well as figure skating choreographers. The full-time study period is 8 academic semesters, those wishing to enroll in part-time studies should note that the duration of their studies will be slightly longer - 4.5 years.

Direction department
The department offers applicants directions for training directors of the theater, circus, drama theater and cinema artists, set designers. The main focus of education is the principles laid down by the great reformer, director K. S. Stanislavsky. Education at the faculty of RATI GITIS is carried out in 18 creative workshops. Entrance tests for training programs

Applicants can also choose the speci alty "Acting Art", it is presented at GITIS at the Faculty of Musical Theater. The Faculty of Musical Theater also offers the speci alty "Theater Directing", after which the student is awarded the qualification of a musical theater director.
