Leipzig University was founded in 1409 and is one of the oldest universities in Germany. It is an interdisciplinary educational institution with international status, dynamic, diverse, modern and at the same time devoted to tradition.

Faculty of Theology

Faculty of Education
It is based on the principle of "teaching through research" and is defined by three central themes: knowledge development, professionalization and internationalization. The faculty has numerous international connections, including those in Eastern and Central Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences
This faculty was also opened by the University of Leipzig relatively recently - in 1994. At the moment, about 3,500 students study at it, and it is one of the largest in the educational institution.
