MGTU: history, current state
The history of the Technical University began in 1931 as a result of the appearance in the city of an engineering and construction institute - a branch of one of the universities existing at that time. The Institute of Materials Processing, Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineering is a young structural subdivision of the Technical University with a rich history. It appeared at the university in 2013. Its creation was carried out on the basis of the mechanical engineering and metallurgical departments of several faculties.
The institute trains students in 4 undergraduate areas:
- "Provision of machine-building industries (design and technology)".

The structural subdivision of MSTU (Magnitogorsk) also trains specialists in the direction of "Design of technological complexes and machines".
