Military, like representatives of all other professions, have their own distinctive form and attributes in it. These are all kinds of jackets, and T-shirts, and shorts, and gloves, and hats. One of these elements is the blue beret, which is mainly worn by servicemen of the airborne troops of Russia and some other states.
History of occurrence
The uniform for serving people is constantly changing. They try to make it better, more comfortable and more convenient. The headgear is also an important attribute in the uniform of any military man and therefore undergoes some changes. But, for example, not everyone knows that at first the airborne troops were supposed to wear a crimson beret. This was a worldwide tradition, and in many countries it has even been preserved to this day. Its founder was the artist Zhuk, who is also the author of many books on small arms. But in 1968, the first persons of the state decided to replace them with blue berets. War became associated not with red, but with radiant light blue. Such a headdressmore suitable for parachute units and very much liked by the employees themselves.
Of course, a single style of military uniform has always existed, but the blue beret of the Airborne Forces became an official element in the military suit by order of the USSR Ministry of Defense only in 1969 on July 26. Up to this point, there were no documents establishing such rules.
Differences in berets
It is known that the uniform of the military differs depending on the ranks. This also applies to headwear. For example, a blue beret for sergeants or soldiers has a star in a wreath in front, and an Air Force cockade is located on officers. On the berets of the guards units on the left is the emblem of the Airborne Forces with a red flag, the creation of which is the idea of Margelov, a Soviet military leader. In 1989, on March 4, new rules regarding the wearing of uniforms came out, which spoke of the mandatory location of flags on the berets of military personnel. However, such hats did not have a uniform appearance, because they were made independently in each separate part.
Appearance
Berets for the military are made according to the standard approved by the Department of the Ministry of Defense of Russia (from wool of the first grade). Correspondences can be determined visually in natural sunlight or using an instrumental method. The blue beret must also retain its color and shape when washed and rubbed. Hats for employees come in sizes 54 to 62, which is determined by the girth of the head.

In general, the appearance of headgear differs depending on the activities of employees. Military personnel of the United Nations (United Nations), the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation and Bulgaria, the airborne troops of Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, artillery units in Israel, as well as special forces units of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus wear a blue beret. By the way, this piece of clothing was replaced by a crimson headdress at the suggestion of General Lisov Ivan Ivanovich, whose initiative was warmly approved by General Margelov. Soon after the start of wearing such a beret, statistics showed that military personnel liked this color.
