Often we speak and do not notice the process itself, what stable expressions appear in our statements, what grammatical structures we use, what endings, cases, numbers.… All this passes us by, because our native language is like the blood flowing through our veins, which fills each of our organs with oxygen and life. But we don’t pay attention to it, and, in fact, we don’t know what our blood is, what it consists of, how it moves…
However, do not forget that the native language still has to develop. Everything in this world is in constant motion, formation and improvement. And the development of the nation as a whole depends on the study of the language and the education of the culture of speech of each individual person. There is one legend from the life of the fabulist Aesop. In ancient times, Aesop worked in the service. Once the owner asked him to cook the most delicious and he althy dish. For lunch, a dish of veal tongue was served. The owner asked Aesop in surprise why he chose this particular recipe. The servant replied that the tongue is the best thing in the world, because it can helpmake true friends, find true love, fill every new day with joy …. After thinking a little, the owner gave a new task to Aesop - cook the worst dish in the world. And again, veal tongue was served for dinner. The servant hurried to explain his choice to the puzzled master: “Language can also become our enemy, it pushes people to quarrels, gossip, deceit …” As you can see, we need not only to watch what we say, but also learn to express our thoughts beautifully and correctly, feelings and emotions.
One of the structures that helps us more vividly and emotionally describe our inner world and convey the states of the world around us is the grammatical structure “impersonal sentence”. What is an impersonal sentence, and, as they say, what is it eaten with? The rules from the school curriculum are difficult to understand. Usually we memorize them, and often do not understand or do not go into their meaning. In order not to memorize a thoughtlessly complex rule, it is necessary to disassemble and clarify every word in it. In other words, an impersonal sentence is a sentence "without a person", that is, any action or state occurs without the performer of this action or without the very exponent of this state. Here are the simplest examples: “It is getting evening. It was getting light. Cloudy. As a rule, an impersonal sentence is short, concise, but very expressive. It can be used as part of simple - this is a simple impersonal sentence, and as part of complex sentences. Such sentences are often used in fiction. But such turnovers are also inherent in everyday life.speech. Their use helps to more emotionally describe the pictures of the surrounding world, the state of nature (It was cold, gloomy and dark on the street), the state of mind of a person (How easy and joyful it is in the soul!), The physical state of a person (Again shivering and spinning in the head), inevitability and impossibility of action (We should have bought everything; talk to him properly), denial (You can't live away from the city). As the only main member of the sentence - the predicate - there can be an impersonal verb (It's getting light. It's drizzling), a personal verb in an impersonal form (It thundered outside the window), a particle not with the verb to be (There was no more anger), a short passive participle of the past tense (It was decided to go for a walk), and the impersonal verb no (No rest. No joy).
Inpersonal sentences are inherent not only in Russian, but also in English. But since the construction of the English sentence does not allow the use of the members of the sentence in a free order, unlike the Russian language, then impersonal sentences in English can only formally be called impersonal. In English, it is unacceptable to omit the predicate or subject. Therefore, there are certain structures, such as It + to be, It + verb, where the pronoun It plays the role of a formal subject and is omitted when translated into Russian (It is getting colder - It's getting colder, It is frosty - It's frosty, It rains - It's going rain).
Thus, an impersonal sentence is not only a grammatical structure, but also an important assistantin the ability to speak beautifully. And, as you know, the ability to beautifully express your thoughts and feelings is expensive - the door is wide open for any opportunities ….
