The concept is based on sincere relationships. Philologists call the Proto-Indo-European root bhidh- or "faith" as the primary source. From him came the Latin fides:

- trust;
- faith.
In combination with the prefix cum- “together with” - the basis for “rely” confidere, and then there was also confidens, which indicated a completely self-confident person. However, "confident" is a borrowing through French:

- confidente.

It penetrated into the Russian language in the 18th century and was immediately adopted by special services. The word under study meant people who worked behind enemy lines, carried out the most difficult and dangerous assignments, and reported on the plans of the enemy.
However, the term quickly went out of circulation and only in recent decades has returned to the professional lexicon. It is used in relation to those citizens who provide active assistance during operational-search activities, but do not do it publicly.
