The Stakhanov movement is one of the forms of socialist competition in the Soviet Union. Stakhanov Alexei Grigorievich acted as a kind of founder of this competition. He was the first to submit to an unprecedented result. On the night of August 30-31, 1935, 102 tons of coal were cut down by his efforts in one shift. Such productivity exceeded the norm by 14 times. It happened on the territory of Ukraine, the Central Irmino mine.

For this labor feat, Alexei Stakhanov was initially awarded the Order of Lenin, and in 1970 he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor.

Immediately, the Stakhanov movement was picked up by the miners. And later everyone else, including workers in heavy industry, took up this business. All over the country this competition was led by the communists. For example, after the feat of Stakhanov, A. Busygin, who was a blacksmith at the Gorky Automobile Plant, forged 966 crankshafts per shift. It is worth noting that the norm at that time was 675 units. So then Busygin, as well as Stakhanov, was a champion in his field.

I. Gudov, a milling machine operator from the Moscow plant named after Ordzhonikidze, overfulfilled the daily norm by more than four times. More precisely - by 410%. The namesakes E. and M. Vinogradov achieved Stakhanov records in the field of the textile industry. They managed to service 100 machines at the same time.

In general, by 1937, the Stakhanov movement captured approximately 22% of agricultural workers. In turn, this led to extraordinary results. Labor productivity growth increased by 82%, while industrial output increased by 79%.

It is also believed that the Stakhanov movement became one of the determining factors in the victory in the Great Patriotic War. During her years, many other formations emerged from the Stakhanovite movement. First of all, it is thousands. The first of them was the milling machine D. Bosykh. He managed to fulfill the norm by 1480%. In general, thousands of people are those who fulfill the norm by at least 1000%. And, despite such figures, there were really a lot of these people. It was on them that almost all production rested.

In addition to the thousands, there were also high-speed workers - these are those who set the shortest deadlines for the fulfillment of certain norms. These included M. Zinnurov, N. Bazetov, A. Chalkov, who were considered true masters in the field of high-speed metal melting. V. Seminsky also distinguished himself in high-speed work with metal, only now he was a carver. And L. Golokolosov's brigade of high-speed cutters played a very important role in the liberated Donbass.

It all resulted in what, despite the most difficult conditions, labor productivity in the USSR increased by 121% during the Great Patriotic War.

The very night of August 31, 1935 resulted in such results. But at that time, the Central Irmino mine was considered an ordinary one, but Alexei Stakhanov, with the help of his feat, brought it to a completely different level. Now it is written about in every school history textbook. And Stakhanov himself is immortalized in the memory of people as a real hero.
