Those who want to connect their lives with creativity - choreography, stage or theatrical stage - it is much easier in big cities such as St. Petersburg or Moscow. There are more than enough universities that train future priests of art. In provincial cities, even if they are relatively large, the choice is more meager - educational institutions are no longer ten, but one or two. So in Krasnoyarsk, for example, there is only one institution where singers, actors and dancers are trained. And this is the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Arts. We will tell about the formation of this university, about faculties and speci alties, about teachers and admission.
FGBOU HPE "Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts": beginning
Krasnoyarsk residents themselves used to call their Institute of Arts the Academy of Music and Theatre. The fact is that this is the name that the university had for a long time, even the bus stop in front of it was called "Academy" - including after the renaming of the institute. However, let's not get ahead of ourselvesLet's go back to 1977. Just then, the corresponding ministry prepared an order to open a new educational institution in the city on the Yenisei. No sooner said than done, and already next year the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts - or KSII - began its work. The teachers in the newly formed university were graduates of acting and music universities in Moscow, Leningrad and other cities of our vast country. By the way, many of those who then, in the late seventies, came to Krasnoyarsk for distribution, took root here and still live and work in this glorious city.
In the first year of study, students were admitted to three faculties - music, acting and art. This division has been maintained for nine years since the opening of the university, but in 1987 it was decided to transform the art department into a separate independent university. Thus, only two departments remained at the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Culture and Arts, where specialists were trained in several areas. This went on for more than twenty years…
New age, our days
Until 2000, the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Arts remained such. However, the new century-millennium gave the Krasnoyarsk university a new status - it became an academy, the same Academy of Music and Theater, whose name was so firmly remembered by the inhabitants of the city on the Yenisei.
The university lived in this status for a long fifteen years. And three years ago everything changed again - the Krasnoyarsk temple of science was given back its former name. From now on it is calledKrasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts.
Last year, another reorganization event affected the institute: the art institute, the same one that had once separated from the KSII, it was decided to return back under the wing of the alma mater. So now there are three faculties at the Institute of Arts again. We'll talk about them in more detail later, but for now let's talk about what the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Culture is today.
In addition to training future specialists in the field of dance, painting, music and theater, the university also nurtures the younger creative generation. So, on the basis of the institute, a gymnasium of music and theater was created several years ago (it was assigned the number twelve). And the KSII also includes a music college, which allows you to get a secondary specialized education and further, if desired / if necessary, continue to hone your skills already within the walls of the university.
KGII has a lot of different creative teams, which is no wonder. They are all quite famous in their hometown, and some - for example, the musical ensemble "Tebe Poem" - and beyond. Repeatedly the teams of the university became laureates of various competitions and festivals. In addition, the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Arts closely cooperates with various creative organizations in other cities, and its graduates work both in their native country and abroad. The opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky, who recently passed away, was known to the whole world. But not everyone knows that their hometownDmitry was precisely Krasnoyarsk, moreover, it was the Institute of Arts that the future great singer graduated from back in 1987. Therefore, it is not at all surprising, but absolutely natural that quite recently, by order of November 9 this year, the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Arts was named after Dmitry Alexandrovich. Now the official name of the university in the city on the Yenisei has changed a bit and is as follows: Siberian State Institute of Arts named after Dmitry Hvorostovsky.
Manual
Marina Moskalyuk, a well-known art critic, an expert in art theory, nineteenth century art, Russian art, and so on, has been the rector of a creative university for only two years, and in addition, she is a doctor of art history. Before taking the chair of the head of the KSII (or rather, now the SGII), Marina Valentinovna worked a lot in other universities of the city on the Yenisei - in the pedagogical, Siberian federal, art, and so on. She also worked at the Museum named after Vasily Surikov, another famous citizen of Krasnoyarsk, and it was from the post of director of this museum that she moved to the Institute of Arts.
Marina Valentinovna is a creative person herself, who is fond of, besides, a true specialist in her field. Who, if not her, to lead the institute where the stars light up?
Faculties and speci alties of the university
Now it's time to talk in more detail about the branches of the aforementioned temple of science. As mentioned above, at the moment there are three faculties at the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts - music, art and theater and choreography. The College of Music functions independently and independently, as a department of the university it is not considered.
All faculties of the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Arts have several departments, but they will be discussed further in more detail - so that you can get an idea of what they teach there. For now, just list the speci alties that can be obtained by graduating from a particular faculty.
So, drama theater and film actors, as well as choreographers of three different types of dance (folk, modern or ballroom) come out of the Games and Dances department. The Faculty of Music gives birth to specialists in composition and musicology, conductors - "academicians" and "populists", vocalists of the same categories, sound engineers, teachers, as well as musicians of all stripes - wind players, pianists, drummers and so on. And finally, after graduating from the art department of the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts, you can get the following speci alties: graphic designer, interior designer, applied art specialist, photo and / or video specialist (for example, a videographer), sculptor and, of course, an artist.
Now let's move on to the departments of each faculty. We will try to talk about most of them and also start with the theatrical and choreographic departments - there are the fewest departments there, only three.
The skill of the actor
This is where the future servants of Melpomene are trained, so the guys with the makings of an actor should goneeded only here. The department was opened in 1978, immediately together with the university itself. At that time, graduates of the Moscow theatrical theaters worked for it, and therefore it is not surprising that they based their training on the method of the unforgettable Vakhtangov and the Shchukin school; the same method is followed in the department to this day. It is from here that the Krasnoyarsk Drama Theater takes new talents - although, of course, former students of the department work far from only in their hometown.
Choreographic Art
This department appeared relatively recently, in 2007, and, as the university assures, it has no analogues in all of Siberia. It trains teachers of ballroom, modern and folk dance. It is the students of this department that every year become the winners of the Governor's Ball (an annual event in the city on the Yenisei for all students, organized by the administration). It is planned to introduce a fourth direction at the department in the near future to teach children classical dance.
Social Humanities and Art History
This department is also the same age as the Institute and was originally called the Department of Marxism-Leninism - then, in Soviet times, there were similar departments in any university. Here they read general scientific disciplines - philosophy and ethics, the culture of speech and mythology, the history of art and the history of icon painting, psychology and pedagogy, and so on. This allows graduates to be broadly savvy in many fields. It must be understood that, nevertheless, the emphasis is on art, so we can say that this department prepares notpractitioners, but theorists.
Folk art culture
This is already the department of the art faculty. Here, graduates are trained in two areas - the management of a photo / video studio and the management of an arts and crafts studio. You can study both internally and in absentia. The department has been operating for six years already.
"Painting", "Graphics", "Sculpture", "Artistic ceramics"
These are four different departments opened in 1978-1979. Their names speak for themselves, there is nothing more to add here, and therefore let's move on to the next department. And this…
Graphic Design
The department has existed since 1981. Who is a graphic designer? Anyone who draws covers and booklets, postcards and banners, illustrates books, makes logos and videos - in general, works at a computer and works closely with printing organizations.
Environment Design
This designer works with everything around him. Landscape design or interior design - it doesn't matter, this specialist is competent in both. Accordingly, the range of areas of activity before the graduates of the department is simply huge!
"General piano", "Special piano"
As you might guess, these are already departments of the music faculty. We will not talk much about them, because it is already clear what they are. Let us just explain that the "special piano" is a speci alty, while the "general" is designed forincluding pianists. Here we also note the presence at the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Arts and such obvious departments as "Folk Instruments", "Wind Instruments" and "Percussion Instruments", as well as "String Instruments".
Music Theory and Composition
The department has been functioning since 1999. From here come both theoreticians-teachers and practitioners-composers. Many graduates of this department are today members of the Union of Composers of our country.
Sound Engineering
It was opened eleven years ago and to this day is the only one beyond the Urals where specialists of this kind are trained. You can imagine her demand! Graduates of this department can mix and restore sound, record concerts, make arrangements, voice texts and videos - and much, much more.
Chamber Ensemble and Accompanist Training
Beautifully announcing numbers at concerts is also a whole art that needs to be learned. After all, it is necessary to be able to win over the hall, own it, conduct a dialogue with it. Students of this department comprehend this science in full. So-called immersions in the profession, master classes, competitions and so on are constantly held here. The department has been counting since 1980.
Let's mention briefly that also at the music department of the Institute of Arts in the city on the Yenisei there are departments of the history of music, conducting and solo singing.
University premises
Total inThe institute has two halls - large and small, and there is also a training theater room. In the small hall, diploma performances of graduates-actors are held, which, by the way, for a nominal fee, everyone (ordinary residents and guests of the city) can come and enjoy the performance.
The symphony orchestra of the city performs in the large hall of the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts, various large-scale concerts and events are held - it is designed for more than four hundred people (the small one - about a hundred).
