It is impossible to imagine the modern world without airplanes. It seems that quite recently, humanity has turned up the opportunity to use this type of transport, and it immediately became a favorite means of transportation, thanks to fast delivery and comfort. However, the medal has another side.
Immediately after the first flights, plane crashes began. And if accidents among other modes of transport make it possible to survive, then in airplanes it was almost impossible. After all, here the height is several thousand meters, when falling, the upholstery of the aircraft lights up, and when it hits the ground, an instant explosion occurs. The number of victims of the incident is colossal and almost always the entire passenger train dies.
The most tragic year is 1940. In just a few months, there have been multiple crashes of military aircraft, most of which are due to the fault of the machinists. People have invented a flying ship, but have not been able to cope with it. Televisions and radios were literally bursting with reports of new crashes. Military operations were gaining momentum in the sky, and aircraft crashes were not uncommon. However, during the war years, tests began, and a new one was invented.military equipment, aviation improved, fighter jets and air tanks appeared.
The level of reliability of military aviation was several steps higher than the safety of passengers on conventional aircraft. Often, untested cars with budget equipment were sent on the road, on board of which there were ordinary people. Of course, the state allocated money to improve aviation standards, but almost all funds went to military models, while ordinary Boeings were a kind of danger on wheels.
When plane crashes occurred, or an aircraft did not reach its destination, all the blame was blamed on weather conditions, no one said that planes were only at the stage of improvement and new developments, and flying such flights is akin to a death sentence without quality equipment testing.
Fortunately, the era of low-quality equipment has passed, ended with the war period, as the statistics say. Already since the 1950s, all kinds of safety standards and norms have increased. Several significant improvements have been put in place to make flying safer.
But a few decades later, a wave of disasters began again, various terrorist organizations blew up cars with several hundred passengers, so air travel control became even tougher to protect customers, many airlines introduced additional measures.
Aircraft crash statistics show thatthe last 20 years there has been a significant improvement in the quality of flights and the protection of passengers, the total number of accidents has decreased from 600 with a total of 15,000 victims to 200 with 6,000 thousand dead.
From the 1990s to today, airship has become one of the safest modes of transport, as evidenced by the emergence of many new flights, and aircraft accidents are very rare, thanks to the high quality of technology and the level of modern airlines.
