Surely each of us has been in the hall at least once and has a general idea of it. A well-known concept for the broad masses sounds like this: a hall is a vast and roomy room.
There are a huge number of similar structures that serve for completely different events.

The word "hall" is used in two cases:
- for public and mass gatherings (concerts, movies, other events);
- for receiving guests in the room, which is located in the building.
Concert Hall
People who often buy concert tickets know perfectly well what a hall is and what parts it is divided into (parterre, balconies, etc.).
The large room is used to accommodate as many spectators as possible.
The first such structures appeared at the beginning of the 19th century. Previously, concert events were held in palaces, churches and private homes.
One of the most beautiful buildings is the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Hall of fame
A walk of fame or hall is a permanent exhibition dedicated to a subject or object, the purpose of which is to express and record its merit.
For example, the United States Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Located in the City of Cleveland.
The Astronaut Hall of Fame is located in the state of Florida, namely the city of Titusville.
Showroom
An exhibition hall is a space whose task is to show something significant.
For example, an artist's salon in St. Petersburg or the Moscow art gallery Rohini gallery.
Gym
Gym is a space for sporting events. There are many sports, for each of which a separate indoor facility is being built (for basketball, volleyball, etc.)
Also, gyms have gained wide popularity in our time.
There is an interesting gym called the Powerhouse Gym in New York. It is instructive that this building was opened by a woman who was able to lift 136 kg.

Waiting room
A similar room is a huge simple room at airports and train stations for passengers waiting for their departure or arrival time.

We have seen in practice that the word "hall" has a huge number of meanings. But despite this, they have one thing in common - this is a spacious voluminous room.
