However, graduates of the school quite reasonably noted that the situation would not change much for applicants, because “only those whose parents worked in the Central Bank or a money store entered the budget.” From the same time, according to the Central Bank, negotiations began on the inclusion of banking colleges in the system of regional universities.
From the Central Bank to the national economy
By January 2017, the fate of the banking school in the city of Orel finally became clear: from the subordination of the Central Bank, it should be transferred to the regional branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. For applicants, this solution will apparently have both pros and cons.
Despite the apparent decline in the status of the college, the leadership of the academy announced its intention to contribute to its development: according to the director of the Oryol branch of the RANEPA, the number of students should be tripled. In addition, some subjects in the banking school will be taught by teachers of the academy. It is also possible that now graduates of the Orel Banking School will have some preferences if they wish to continue their education at the RANEPA.
