A bit of history

War communism gradually spread to the whole society. This made the maximalists see some prerequisites for the organization of specialized production. With all this, they did not insist on war communism as ruin.

  • small and large industry (especially its nationalization);
  • centralization and leadership power over distribution and production;
  • private trade ban;
  • surplus appraisal;

Bringing the country out of the crisis

Private economy, work on free land is not a way out of a large-scale crisis, not a way to save the country. The introduction of universal labor service in the USSR was supposed to solve this problem. What was needed was a great and huge economy of people's labor, a firm and stable government that would be able to carry out this new reform. The Soviet Union forbade officials to take this matter into their own hands, the reform was to be carried out by the Council of Workers', Peasants' and Soldiers' Deputies. Only the people themselves, knowing peasant life, could form labor service and the framework of human labor that would preserve peasant labor.

Thus, the transition to general processing would be done correctly and gradually, even though this is a very difficult matter that would affect the life of every citizen.

Socialist growth and construction rejected the principle of freedom of labor. For the bourgeoisie, such a principle was presented as freedom of exploitation, and for others as a personal right, freedom and responsibility to be exploited. The principle of universal labor service had to find a comprehensively active and widespread application in life and in deeds.

What was the impact of this controversy?

This contradiction strongly influenced and substantiated the opposite of the functions of all state systems, although in fact each of them is similar in some way to the other or even to several. General labor service is nothing else,as self-government and self-organization of the masses in the sphere of labor. At least that was the case in the proletarian dictatorship.

The capitalist regime would be strengthened and the power of the bourgeoisie strengthened if there was a mobilization of the entire industry. The same would have happened with socialism with the same changes in its direction. State coercion in the structure of capitalism is a kind of pressure that deepens, expands and ensures exploitation, as well as its entire process. While coercion by the state is one of the ways to build communism in society.

In 1922, a new labor law was adopted that abolished general labor service and introduced free employment of labor.
