Alexander Mikhail Lubomirsky was born in 1614 and died in 1677. He was a Polish aristocrat who changed several positions during his life, and also the ancestor of the Vyshnevetsky line of the Lubomirsky family. The article discusses the life of the prince and his family.
Biography
Alexander Mikhail is a representative of the Polish family of princes Lubomirsky under the coat of arms "Druzhina", or "Shrenyava".
At the age of 29 (1643) he served as sub-chalice of Queen Cicelia Renata of Austria. Later, Alexander Mikhail was engaged in the management of stables, in charge of horses and other things related to equestrian business (1645-1668) as a horseman of the great crown.
Since 1668 he became the governor of the city of Krakow - the place where the coronation of Polish kings was held until 1734. The prince continued his service for 11 years - from 1668 to 1677.
During his life he also served as the mayor of the towns of Sadomir and Bygoszcz (in the 16th century it was a key center for the grain trade, later known as the place of signing the Veliava-Bygoszcz tract).
After Jan II Casimir Vasa abdicated, Alexander Michael expressed his support for PhilipWelhelm of the Palatinate.
During his life, the prince was the owner:
- two castles - Vishnitz and Rzemen;
- three cities;
- 120 villages;
- 57 estates;
- 7 headmen.
Family
Alexander Michael was the eldest son of Prince Stanislaw Lubomirsky of Krakow, who died in 1649. And his mother was Sofia Alexandrovna Ostrozhskaya, she died in 1622.
The prince was a brother to such people:
- Jerzy Sebastian Lubomirski;
- Konstanzia Lubomirskaya;
- Konstantin Jacek Lubomirski;
- Anna Kristina Lubomirskaya.
In 1637, with Elena Tekle Ossolinsky (she lived until 1687), who was the daughter of diplomat Jerzy Ossolinsky, Alexander Mikhail created a family. The couple had one child - Jozef Karol Lubomirsky (years of life - 1692-1702). The son was a statesman of the Commonwe alth.
The son, raised by Prince Alexander Mikhail Lubomirsky, in the future became the headman of the cities of Sadomir and Zator.
