The Institute of Culture in Minsk is now called the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. The Institute of Culture in Minsk appeared in 1975, was created on the basis of the Gorky Pedagogical Institute. Later, the Department of the Theater and Art Institute was added to the composition of the educational institution.

Faculties and majors
