Civilizations of the ancient world left after their existence a lot of mysteries and questions, the answers to which people still cannot find. Throughout history, the imagination of mankind has been stirred by the mysterious traces of the material cultures of the past. The treasures of Babylon and Crete, Hyperborea and Atlantis, Lemuria and Shambhala hide the artifacts of ancient civilizations. It is customary to refer to them objects dating from a specific time of creation, but at the appropriate time falling out of the general concept of the development of the culture to which they must correspond. Artifacts of ancient civilizations have been known to archaeologists since time immemorial. Multiple finds baffle researchers who are trying to explain the origin, purpose and technology of obtaining objects of material culture, based on the standard chronological history of human development. The timeless nature of objects forces us to reconsider traditional views on the culture and life of people, raises questions about the origin of knowledge and technologyantiquities.
Sphinx - why and how?
Perhaps one of the most studied areas of the ancient world, the Egyptian one, contains artifacts of an ancient civilization, the technology of which causes heated debate among historians, archaeologists and enthusiastic researchers. The visiting card of Egypt is the Great Sphinx at Giza, a statue with a lion's body and a human head, carved into a sandstone rock. The latest information about the dating of its origin, based on geological and astronomical data, allows us to talk about the average age of the Great Sphinx at 10.5 thousand years. The giant statue, whose appearance still awes millions of people, was created by an unknown civilization, the technology and social structure of which had to be ahead of the surrounding era by millennia in the modern understanding of historians. Building projects of this magnitude is a challenge even for today's architects. And if we take into account the expected level of technology and knowledge, the social structure of that time, then this task is generally unsolvable. Nevertheless, the Great Sphinx carries its undeciphered message to posterity through the millennia.
Can't be
Not all artifacts of ancient civilizations are of such outstanding size. Of particular interest are scale models and images of various devices and mechanisms, the very existence of which is surprising. Colombian golden airplane model, Egyptian modelgliders from the tomb represent copies of aircraft.
It is surprising that the analysis of the geometry of these figures reveals differences with the proportions of flying insects and birds, and the aircraft models created on their basis in flight tests showed excellent results. Whether ancient civilizations had the technology to fly is still a mystery.
Along with the existence of a large number of real objects from the past, the authenticity of which is not in doubt among researchers, now and then there are dubious artifacts of ancient civilizations, the study of which reveals their natural, not human origin or outright fakes of dishonest people.
