Master's: differences from bachelor's degree
At the Moscow State Law University, as in any other educational institution, a bachelor's degree is considered a full-fledgedhigher education. University graduates become specialists. However, they are not associated with a specific narrow specialization. This means that they may not apply for all positions.
Master's program of Moscow State Law Academy gives its graduates, as well as graduates of other higher educational institutions, the opportunity to get a deeper education in the most interesting direction related to the previously received speci alty. If you wish, you can even change your specialization. Some, for example, enter law master's programs with an economic education. This is not prohibited by law.
Implementation of master's programs
In Moscow State Law Academy, the training of students in master's programs is entrusted to one structural unit - the institute of magistracy. He appeared in the educational institution relatively recently - in 2011 - by order of the rector of the university. The Institute offers 3 forms of education: full-time, part-time and part-time. At the first of them, the duration of training is 2 years, and at the last - 2 years and 3 months.
Young men who have not served in the army are best suited for full-time education. It provides a deferment from the call. Those wishing to study for free can choose any form of education. There are state-funded places in both full-time, part-time, and part-time forms of education.

For admission to the MSLA master's program, you need to prepare a package of documents:
- application (you can write it at home or at the admissions office);
- diploma confirming the availability of relevant education (higher);

It is given orally upon admission to all forms of study at the magistracy of the Moscow State Law Academy (for part-time, part-time and full-time). Exam on "Municipal and State Administration"
In the magistracy of the Moscow State Law Academy for the entrance exam in the direction of "Municipal and State Administration" it is planned to draw up tickets in a similar way. They will consist of 3 sections. The first sections will be theoretical questions. The last task is a creative task (casus).

Score for passing the entrance test
Passing the entrance exam for MSLA master's programs is evaluated on a 100-point scale. For the answer to the first question, a maximum of 30 points can be awarded, for the second - also 30 points, for solving a practical problem - 40 points.
The maximum score for answers to theoretical questions can be obtained if a correct and complete answer is given. A decrease of 1–5 points is allowed with a correct and complete answer, but with minor errors and inaccuracies. From 6 to 20 points, the examiners subtract from the maximum possible score for a correct but incomplete answer.
To assess the solution of a practical task at the university, the following criteria are provided:
- With the right decision, logical actions, detailed explanation, 40 points are assigned. To get the maximum score, you still need to correctly answer all the additional questions of the examiners present.
- The final score is reduced by 1-10 points with the correct solution and correct answers, but with insufficiently consistent actions, there are some inaccuracies.
- Decrease by 11-20 points is provided for with the right decision, but insufficient justification of their actions. Answers to additional questions were generally correct, but with significant inaccuracies and errors.
- A decrease of 20–30 points is possible with the correct solution of the problem and incorrect answers to additional questionsexaminers.
Tuition fees
There are budget places in only one direction of the master's program - in "Jurisprudence". There are many. In 2018, it is planned to receive 350 people in person, 165 people in part-time and 200 people in absentia. The second direction - "Municipal and State Administration" - will be a novelty, so there are no free places on it.
Moscow State Law University is a metropolitan university with a good reputation and a glorious history, so studying at the MSLA master's program is not affordable for everyone. On a full-time basis, students pay more than 370 thousand rubles. Part-time education is cheaper by about 100 thousand rubles. The lowest cost is set on the correspondence form - 185 thousand rubles.
