The Faculty of Economics of TVGU (Tver) is currently called the Institute of Economics and Management. The history of the structural unit begins in 1971. At that time, the Faculty of Economics and Law was created at the university. Later it was divided into 2 separate structural divisions.
When the faculty appeared, it consisted of the Department of Economics. Now the institute includes 9 departments. The teachers are mostly former university graduates. Among them there are 35candidates of sciences and 9 professors.
Training areas and future jobs
The Faculty of Economics of TVSU offers applicants a choice of various educational programs:

- "Commodity Research".
- "Management" (profile - logistics, marketing and supply chain management).
The listed educational programs are undergraduate. In the direction of "Economics" specialists are trained to work in financial, insurance and credit organizations, public authorities.
Graduates who graduated from the university with a degree in Commodity Science get jobs in shops, wholesalers: they receive goods, place them in warehouses, monitor quality and storage. At the university, the timetable is posted on the bulletin board. It is also freely available on the website of the Institute of Economics and Management. The schedule for students is compiled for one week. It does not include dates. This means that it is permanent. Only sometimes changes are made to it due to the impossibility of conducting any subjects for certain reasons (for example, the teacher's illness).
The schedule contains the signs "+" and "-". They cause bewilderment among first-year students. This designation was invented at Tver State University in order to be able to conduct some subject once every 2 weeks. It is also worth noting that the schedule on the site is for students not only of full-time education, but also of the correspondence department. It is very comfortable. There is no need for students to constantly rewrite the schedule at the university. It is only recommended to check the bulletin board regularly to notice the changes in time.
