Today, the younger generation is reconsidering their interests. Instead of traditional discos and nightclubs, young people turn their feet towards theaters and classical music concerts, where they encounter concepts that are completely unfamiliar to them. When the public demands an artist to give an encore, how is that? How appropriate are such exclamations, and at what point in the presentation? Some nuances of theatrical life may not be obvious, and therefore require careful analysis.
Fine fashion
There was a capacious interjection in Russian, when the popularity of everything French was flourishing. Unusual bis came into use at the suggestion of guests from Paris. The townsfolk did not even suspect that it was a direct copy of the Latin word. The original is translated as “twice”, and its semantic content is in a request to repeat. In this case, we are talking exclusively in the context of cultural life: about a touching romance or about a musical part on the violin.
Creative life
It is also necessary to take into account the rules of secular etiquette. An encore song is always possible, which will not take much effort and time, but what about the performance? An exclamation is usually interpreted in twoways:
- demanding a re-performance sent by the public to the artist;
- instruction to play the last row of measures again - in notes.
Most often refer to the first value. At the same time, they imply very specific actions:
- execute;
- play;
- sing.
And this is appropriate only with short works. It is quite difficult to pick the strings and strain the ligaments for a long time, the artist needs rest. Because of this, solo performances are often accompanied by interruptions to live communication or numbers of guest stars. But no one will refuse to fulfill the request of the public to sing their favorite hit again.
However, in the same theater, when they watched a two-hour performance, calling the actors for an encore is a form of mockery. They physically will not withstand repetition. If the viewer is overwhelmed with emotions, it is better to shout “Bravo! Bravissimo!” to celebrate an excellent performance. Although for chamber short productions, an exception to the rule is possible.
Daily communication
Sometimes an original cry is heard during the feast. When banquet participants or restaurant visitors jokingly ask the waiter to duplicate the order, pour another portion of the alcohol they like. It is non-standard, immediately attracts attention and speaks of a broad outlook. In a broad sense, they can mean absolutely any repetitive thing, even if it is not always recorded in dictionaries.
