Modern presentations are accompanied by a multimedia tool, a bright and lively speaker's performance, and the use of interactivity elements will make your presentation a success. An investment project presentation is an effective presentation of your product and its benefits. Then they make a specific mutually beneficial offer to a potential investor with a designation of the volume of financial injections. This is the whole art of sales, where it is mainly necessary to logically convince the audience that the investor will receive a competitive project based on high-quality calculations and analyses. A multimedia presentation of the project will help make your speech more emotional, expressive, memorable and will accompany it with a visual illustration of facts and other messages for the target audience.
You yourself have probably witnessed monotonous presentations, where many speakers "stupidly" reread endless texts and tables with their backs to the audience, where there are more than 20 slides with small yellow text on a bright green background. Exactlytherefore, this article summarizes my personal experience in presenting projects, studied additional literature, below I will present the golden rules and recommendations that will help you succeed through a quality and successful presentation.
First. All attention is on the speaker and visibility. A project presentation is not a document at all, so we make it only in Power Point, not in Word, for solid text you can use a handout. Remember that what you wrote on the slides, your guests can read on their own, tell it loudly, lively and in your own words. If you are making a presentation of a new product, then show it and let it be touched. If you are presenting a company anthem, get organized and sing it all together. Show high-quality photos if this is a presentation of a new machine.
Second. Magic numbers. Be sure to follow the 10-20-30 principle, which means:
- no more than 10 slides (10 ideas, 10 thoughts, 10 important messages, write 1 idea per slide);
- no more than 20 minutes for your performance;
- The 30th font for writing text on the slide.
The only caveat recommended by Steve Jobs (APPLE) is the 10-minute rule so that your listeners do not get tired, you need to take a break every 10 minutes to demonstrate the product, change the speaker, in the end, you need to tell a joke.
Third. You should not give data, you need information and ready-made solutions. What do you think is the difference between data and information? Data is bare numbers, tablesand texts. And information is processed data, comparative charts, analytics and specific offers. A project presentation is news, a sensation, an offer that is not included in these categories, make it in handouts.
Fourth. The golden rule of information visualization. Before designing your slides, you must adhere to strict rules that will allow you to successfully and visually present the information, read the following guidelines:
- Scheme - a diagram on a slide is the most successful visualization. The possibilities of new versions of Power Point are endless: a huge number of different variations and designs.
- Drawings - must be of high quality, clear and strictly on the topic. We use them only if we could not make a scheme.
- We use charts only if we couldn't find pictures for the presentation.
- "Naked" text only if you couldn't do it, draw a competent graph.
Fifth. There should not be more than five elements on a slide, this pattern was revealed by American scientists. Human short-term memory can remember no more than 5-7 elements at the same time, there should not be "porridge" on the slide, if there is much more information - group, reduce to the most important and key.
