In the first year, only one faculty and two departments functioned here, and the university itself accepted only 62 first students. National Agrarian University
One of the oldest universities in Kyiv, it was founded in 1898 as the agricultural department of the KPI. In 1918 ittransformed into a separate faculty, and then, in 1923, became an independent educational institution.
This university has an interesting location. It is located in the depths of the Goloseevsky forest area, on the southern outskirts of Kyiv. National Pedagogical University. Dragomanova
Mikhail Drahomanov University was established in Kyiv in 1920. From the very beginning, it had only three faculties: preschool, school and medical and pedagogical. Later, already in the 30s, their number was significantly expanded. At the same time, an evening department was launched on the basis of the university.
With the advent of Soviet power, the university was named after the writer Maxim Gorky. Only in 1993 did the school return to its original name.
Today about 20 thousand students study at the Drahomanov University.
