Cultivation of plants is the cultivation of plants or plant cells in artificial conditions. Cultivation is necessary to develop and increase yields. Currently, there are several methods of plant breeding, consider modern technology and agrotechnical method.
Modern technology
It consists in breeding plants in the absence of an unfavorable environment and pests, created comfortable (sterile) conditions for plant growth. Each of them, of course, needs water, light, a certain humidity and temperature, as well as an artificial substrate in which they are grown. All this can be created artificially.
The technique is not new, but there is a new technical possibility that is more cost-effective. It is necessary to obtain maximum production during cultivation and minimize losses, including storage conditions. This technology is called hydroponic. New cultivation means new technology.
It consists in the use of hydroponic systems,installed inside hermetic sleeves. Inside, an optimal microclimate environment is created, which contains only beneficial nutrients. In order to maintain sterility and not violate the tightness, since it is very important for undesirable effects on plants, all maintenance work is carried out using special equipment, operating automatically or controlled by the operator.
Benefits
This technology is good because the grown products are environmentally friendly, without parasites, not damaged and do not require preliminary heat treatment. Farmed foods contain both vitamins and nutrients. A hydroponic system is also good because with full automation, people are freed from hard work. The environment also benefits - the amount of waste and industrial effluents will decrease. That is, cultivation is not only a plus for humans.
Agricultural cultivation
This is the old way. This method is the most common and used everywhere. In this case, in order for the plants to grow well and give high yields, a number of agronomic measures must be observed.
After watering, the soil is compacted and does not allow air to pass through, so it must first be prepared (dug) to a depth of 20-25 cm, trying not to touch the podzol - the infertile layer. Every autumn and spring, it is also necessary to dig the soil, preparing it for planting.
After sprouting plantsit is necessary to weed weeds that drown out seedlings, and cultivation also includes periodic loosening of the soil so that air exchange occurs and there is no moisture stagnation. The agrotechnical method also includes, during the cultivation of plants, the introduction of organic and mineral substances into the soil for the favorable development of seedlings. And also, in order to avoid infection of plants with pests, it is necessary to carry out periodic processing.
Applying methods
Both cultivation methods are used for both cultivated and ornamental plants. In some cases, their use allows not only to increase productivity or other quality indicators. So, cultivation is also a scientific development, thanks to which numerous breeding experiments and tests are possible. Subsequently, they are able to bring quite a huge benefit to humanity.
Cultivation of microorganisms is the same way of cultivation as in the case of plants. Both are great breakthroughs for scientists and humanity in general.
