Rubtsov Industrial Institute is a branch of the Altai Polytechnic University. The abbreviation of the educational institution is RII. The Institute is considered the oldest and largest higher educational institution in the south of the Altai Territory. There are different areas of training here, ranging from the speci alty "Management" and ending with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
A Brief History of the Rubtsov Institute
The history of the industrial institute that exists today in Rubtsovsk began in 1946. A training and consulting center was opened in the city, owned by the capital's institute of metal industry. This institution worked for a year before the first transformations. In 1947, the institute of agricultural engineering was made from the educational and consulting center. It was not an independent educational institution, but a branch of one of the Altai universities.
In subsequent years, the transformation continued:
- In the late 50s, the modern RII became the evening faculty of the AltaiPolytechnic Institute.
- In the late 80s, the university was transformed into a plant-technical college at the tractor plant. At the same time, the educational organization was already considered a branch of the Polytechnic University.
- In the 90s, the educational institution was given its modern name.
Real school
RII is today a worthy institution of higher education in Russia. The Rubtsovsk Industrial Institute has come a long way since its inception. It all started with a small barracks where the first classes were held. Further, the university has new educational buildings.

Rubtsov Industrial Institute teaches in a wide range of areas. All available speci alties of higher education can be combined into 3groups:
- Engineering, engineering and technology. The speci alties belonging to this group are related to engineering and construction technology, computer science and computer technology, heat and power engineering, mechanical engineering, land transport equipment and technologies.
- Society sciences. This group at the industrial institute is represented by such areas as "Management", "Economics".
- Education and pedagogical sciences. The proposed direction in RII is "Pedagogical education" (profile - computer science).
Admission to higher education programs is based on the results of the USE or written exams held within the walls of the university. In almost all speci alties, applicants need to demonstrate their knowledge of mathematics, physics and the Russian language. The only exceptions are such speci alties as "Economics", "Management" and "Pedagogical Education". Applicants take mathematics, social studies and Russian language.
Speci alty of secondary vocational education
In the Rubtsovsk Industrial Institute there is one speci alty of secondary vocational education - "Economics and accounting (by industry)". Graduates of schools, colleges, higher educational institutions who wish to receive a secondary vocational education are invited to it. The duration of training is 1 year and 10 months.
The speci alty is attractive because it is easy to enter. There are no entrance exams. Only a document is required from applicantsabout education - a certificate or diploma.
Additional training
The activity of the RII, as a branch of the Altai State Technical University (AltSTU), is not only in training students in existing speci alties. The university offers a number of additional educational programs for children and adults. There are, for example, foreign language courses that take place in the "Globus" - a center for the study of foreign languages.
The course program is designed for different ages, so there are several levels of preparation. For beginners who do not know the basics of the English language, the initial courses "Learning to read in English" have been developed. The program has a continuation - courses with a deeper study of a foreign language. For students in grades 6-11 there is a special program - "Pre-university training". Education within the framework of the program is conducted using Cambridge textbooks. The program includes several levels. After completing each level, students take a final exam and receive a certificate.
At the Rubtsovsk Industrial Institute of AltSTU, the CSO is a certified training center. He invites you to take courses on 1C:Enterprise 8. After successfully mastering all the information, each student receives a personalized certificate and a methodological manual, which was developed by 1C.
Classes for students outside of school
Being a student of the Rubtsov Industrial Institute is not a boring job. The university offers manyactivities and activities that you can participate in outside of school hours. Those who like to cover various events can try their hand at compiling the student newspaper Generation RII. Many students work on a voluntary basis at the student radio "Voice of RII".
In the industrial institute of Rubtsovsk there are student groups - construction "Avangard", "Rubin" and pedagogical "UniTutor", "Avantage". During the summer holidays, they perform the tasks assigned to them. For example, pedagogical teams organize children's leisure activities, are engaged in the cultural development of youth and the upbringing of the younger generation. In the summer of 2017, students from the Avantage squad worked at the Golden Fish camp. They held sports competitions, contests, daily discotheques, etc. During the work, the students of the detachment not only received positive emotions, but also discovered new talents, gave children joy, love, care and attention.
