Georgy Mikhailovich Brasov is a person who is unknown to wide public circles. At birth, he was not recognized by the official representatives of the imperial family, but soon received the title of count. And after the death of the Romanov family, he became the only descendant of Emperor Alexander III in the male line.
Father
Georgy Brasov is the son of Mikhail Romanov, who was the fourth offspring of Alexander III. At one time (before the birth of Alexei Nikolaevich), he was considered the heir to the throne. After his elder brother Nicholas II found out about his relationship with Natalya Sheremetyevskaya, who was the wife of Lieutenant Vladimir Wulfert, he deprived Mikhail of all positions and posts. Also, Mikhail and his wife (by a morganatic marriage) and their son George were forbidden to be on the territory of the Russian Empire.
By the beginning of the war 1914 - 1918 Mikhail was able to return to his homeland, command a cavalry division, and later cavalry.
During the revolution of 1917, the emperor, together with his young son, abdicatedfrom the throne in favor of Michael. However, he did not dare to become emperor without taking into account the people's will and refused, urging everyone to submit to the Provisional Government. After the victory of the revolution, he was exiled first to Gatchina, later to the Perm province.
In June 1918, Father George was kidnapped from the hotel where he lived and killed. Many researchers believe that this was a kind of signal to begin the extermination of all representatives of the Romanovs who remained in Russia.
Mother
Georgy Mikhailovich Brasov was the son of Natalya Sergeevna, who in her maiden name was Sheremetyevskaya. The first time she married at the age of sixteen was the pianist Sergei Mamontov. They had a daughter, Natalia.
After the divorce, she married Vladimir Wulfert, who served as a lieutenant under the command of Prince Mikhail.
Natalya Sergeevna was a beautiful woman and experienced in feelings. She conquered the Emperor's younger brother. The second husband, in order to prevent a shameful scandal, agreed to a divorce. However, Mikhail did not receive approval from the family due to the bride's simple origin and the fact that she had already divorced twice.
In 1910, a woman gave birth to a son, being officially not married to Mikhail. The boy was named George in honor of the deceased son of Alexander III.
In 1918, the wife tried to save her husband, went to meet Lenin, but to no avail. By cunning, she managed to send the child to Denmark, where he, along with the governess, received asylum. Natalia Sergeevna herself after her deathher husband ended up in prison, from which she escaped by feigning a cold and thanks to the help of her daughter. First she came to Kyiv, then to Odessa, and from there to Europe.

Morganatic marriage
Georgy Mikhailovich Brasov was born from the love of a beautiful woman and a decent man, who was also of noble birth. Their marriage did not take place immediately due to the expectation of a divorce from the second husband of Natalya Sergeevna and the persistent protest of the emperor's family.
However, after the birth of their son, the lovers nevertheless entered into a morganatic marriage. This type of legalization of relations existed in Europe. It was concluded between persons in an unequal position. A spouse who was lower in the social ladder did not have the right to claim a higher position through marriage. So Natalya Sergeevna, having married Mikhail Alexandrovich, did not receive a princely title. Although later the emperor relented and honored her with the title of count. She received the surname Brasov due to the name of one of the estates of the Grand Duke.
