Krasnoyarsk Territory

If we talk about the regions of Russia, it is impossible not to mention the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is located in the Siberian Federal District. Its administrative center (or capital) is the city of Krasnoyarsk. The region was formed in 1934, on December 7. It is located near the Irkutsk region and Yakutia.

Speaking of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, it is worth mentioning its climate. It is sharply continental, it is characterized by clear temperature fluctuations observed throughout the year. It is very heterogeneous, and this is due to the large length of the edge in the meridional direction. On its territory, there are mainly three climatic zones - temperate, subarctic and arctic. In the south, the period during which the temperature is above ten degrees is about 110-120 days, and in the north - 40 days. It should be noted that, despite the local rigidclimate, in the south of the region there are very hot summers and moderately severe winters. There are very favorable conditions for placing recreation centers, sanatoriums and resorts - after all, in this area there are a lot of healing springs.

Map of Russia by regions and their characteristics

The Russian Federation is a state with a special administrative-territorial division. It includes oblasts, krais, republics, and autonomous okrugs. There are also special cities with the status of federal significance. There are only three of them - the recently added Sevastopol, which proudly regained its well-deserved title, Moscow and St. Petersburg. Not so long ago, namely until March 17, 2014, the Russian Federation included 83 subjects. These are the regions of Russia, the region, and all of the above. But not so long ago, two more subjects were added to Russia - the aforementioned hero city of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea, which lost its autonomous status. It should be noted that many people confuse the concept of region and edge, and also do not quite understand their difference. But it should be said that there are no special differences. After all, all subjects of the Russian Federation are equal integral parts of one large state and are subject to the same laws.

Culture Capital

As already mentioned, Russia has three federal cities. The Leningrad Region has one of these cities on its territory. This area is located in the northwestern part of the country. It occupies about 0.5% of the entire area of the Russian Federation, which earned it the 39th place in the country's rating in terms of scale. Leningrad Region borders on Karelia in the north, Vologda Region in the east, Novgorod Region in the southeast, and Pskov Region in the south.

It is impossible not to note St. Petersburg. This is a city with a great history. It has very extensive external relations, it is in St. Petersburg that various events and days of culture of other countries are held. Needless to say, by 2011 St. Petersburg already had 79 sister cities.

Krasnodar Territory

Speaking about the regions of Russia and its regions, one cannot ignore the Krasnodar Territory. This is the complete opposite of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is located in the very south of the Russian Federation and is washed by the Azov and Black Seas. In the Krasnodar Territory, the temperate continental climate is combined with semi-dry Mediterranean and humid subtropical. This area has mild winters and hot summers. The area is very popular with vacationers in the warm season. Take, for example, the famous Anapa, Sochi or Gelendzhik, where thousands of tourists come every year to spend their holidays on the so-called Russian Riviera.
