VGASU is one of the largest educational institutions in Voronezh. It occupies an entire campus and trains future architects and builders. These two speci alties are far from all that can be learned at this university. In addition, the faculties of VGASU have not existed independently for a long time. In 2016, this educational institution merged with the local Polytechnic Institute.

Institutions
Any large university always comes to the formation of larger internal structures. This school was no exception. Among the faculties of VSUAE in Voronezh, the institute of international education and cooperation is especially distinguished.
Students who are citizens of foreign countries study here. The first enrollment was carried out in 1961, and today students from 57 countries of Asia, South America, the CIS and Africa receive education here. Foreigners have access not only to basic programs, but also preparatory courses and even the possibility of entering graduate school with further dissertation defense.
Architectural faculties
- The Faculty of Civil Engineering of VGASU is one of the main ones. It was created in 1930 and continues to develop today. Graduates can become bachelors, having mastered one of the offered speci alties. Here you can learn the construction of high-rise, industrial and civil buildings, unique architectural objects, geodesy and, oddly enough, journalism.
- The Faculty of Construction and Technology trains specialists who are associated with the construction of buildings, but who are not directly builders. Here you can learn innovative technologies in construction, technical regulation in architecture and even public relations.
- Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning. Among all the structural divisions of this university, it is this that is distinguished by a creative approach to learning. It trains architects, designers, philosophers, sociologists and historians.
Technical departments
- Road transport. Among the faculties and speci alties of VGASU, this one is the most in demand among applicants. Graduates can find employment in the road construction industry.
- Faculty of engineering systems and structures. If housing and communal services, gas works, fire communications and water supply are close to you, then this faculty of VGASU is waiting for you.
Economics and Humanities
Despite the fact that the humanities are present in almost all departments of this university, the faculty of economics, management and information technology is singled out separately. More than a thousand students study here, who have access to speci alties related to entrepreneurial activity, economics in construction, information technology, construction management, as well as process and production automation.
Annually, the Faculty of Economics of VSUAE graduates managers who can take relevant positions in construction companies or even start their own construction business.
Additional education
VGASU faculties allow current specialists to improve their own qualifications, if necessary within the position.
The main goal of the Faculty of Additional Professional Education is professional retraining and advanced training of specialists in the field of architecture, construction and related fields of activity. Training is carried out on a contract basis.
Pre-university education
Students dreaming of a career in architecture have the opportunity to start preparing for admission in advance. In addition to the preparatory courses that are available in each university, this educational institution has specialized classes where students in grades 10 and 11 can be trained in the subjects required for admission.
VGASU faculty, focused on pre-university education, provides educational services not only in Voronezh, but also in schools located in other cities of the Voronezh and even Lipetsk regions. These schools are very popular among the local population. There are cases when students are transferred to them in order to be able to prepare for admission to the Voronezh State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
Correspondence department
In addition to full-time and evening forms of education, applicants can receive higher education by correspondence. Speci alties are no different here, but training can only be completed on a contract basis.
Traditionally, part-time students face some learning difficulties. Reviews of students and graduates say that teachers are skeptical about the knowledge of "correspondence students", therefore, one cannot do without a craving for knowledge and a certain amount of perseverance in this department.
Vocational secondary education
Graduates of 9th and 11th grades are available to receive secondary vocational education. A separate structure of the natural-technical college was created among the faculties of VGASU.
Here you can get both technical education in the field of computer systems and mechanical engineering technology, and learn nursing, radio engineering and repair of biotechnical and medical devices.
Thus, we can conclude that the merger of VGASU with VGTU did not deprive future architects of the opportunity to receive specialized education, butrather empowered them.
