An important share in the development of the child (and even equivalent in importance to the logical component) is creative activity. That is why kids from childhood buy a lot of bright toys, picture books, coloring books, materials for drawing and modeling. Older children can double the benefits of creativity by combining mental work with needlework, thereby also developing fine motor skills of their hands. And the best option for such a combination is children's applications on the theme "Spring", "House", "Toys" and so on, the main thing is that the task is familiar to the child and vast for imagination.
Idea one: birdhouse
Children from an early age get acquainted with the seasons, absorbing concepts suitable for them and associating certain processes and images with them. Therefore, such a topic will be the easiest for the child, even if he is just starting to work with such a type of creativity as an application. And since in this case you will have to work with paper, scissors and glue, it is better not to leave your child unattended, but it would be very good to help him. To get started, to create an application on the theme "Spring", you need to choose the mostsimple techniques. The best option would be a simple composition with birds on a tree branch and a birdhouse made of paper. You can also implement this idea from fabric to get a voluminous application on the theme "Spring", but this is already a task for much older children. In order for the child to work with paints in the process and be creative in choosing colors, we make colored paper ourselves: for this, we first draw everything on a sheet, then cut out the elements and color it.
Preparation and process
To create such an application on the theme of "Spring", we need a thick A3 or even A2 paper, brushes (can be replaced with a sponge), watercolors, felt-tip pens, scissors, a pencil and paper to cut out all the elements of the composition. So, we put a sheet on whatman paper and draw all the details on it: on the left side - a tree, on the right side - a birdhouse on supports, and in the free space - six birds in the form of a curved droplet, wings-semicircles and leaves. Now we spread a newspaper or oilcloth on the table and paint all the elements to our taste, not forgetting to constantly change the water in the glass to rinse the brush so that the paints do not mix and become dirty. Then we wait 15-20 minutes until they dry well. To speed up the process, you can use a warm hair dryer or place all the painted elements on a well-lit window sill.
Finishing
At this time, we process the drawing paper itself: you can depict heaven and earth on it, that is, divide ithorizontally in half and paint the upper half in blue, and the lower half in green, or you can do it monotonously, in any delicate shade. Let the paint dry again. Now, in turn, we glue all the elements onto the prepared base, placing the birds and wings on top of them in random order. And to complete our application on the theme “Spring”, with the help of a felt-tip pen we draw the sun and, for example, a cage in empty spaces. And for the birds we add legs and beaks from white paper and draw the eyes. You can also circle all the elements with a marker so that they stand out against the general background, and draw veins on the leaves. All work done!
Idea two: alley
Older children can also take a more complicated idea to develop abstract thinking. So, application, middle group, theme "Spring". It can be done not just from colored paper, but from cut sheets of old newspapers and magazines of suitable colors. This will require a lot of time and talent, as it is very important to cut pieces of different sizes and arrange them so that they clearly create the image of trees in the alley. This is a rather difficult job, since it requires increased attention and concentration on the general vision of the future picture, and therefore only children with developed creative thinking will be able to make an application on the theme “Spring”. Parents can actively help in this process: cut magazine sheets with them, come up with a general idea for a future picture, because this way they can also strengthen their relationship with their children.
Preparation
To make things easier, choose sheets of three colors: blue (for the sky), gray or lilac (for the path), and green (for the trees). For the last elements of the application, you will need paper of different shades, and it is better to arrange all the pieces on the working surface in separate piles according to the palette: darker ones for trunks and branches, lighter ones for leaves. To create an applique on the theme of "Spring", you need to start gluing the details in the correct order. To simplify this task, with the help of a simple pencil and a ruler, we draw the base (whatman paper) into parts: stepping back 1/5 of the width of the sheet from the bottom side, we draw a horizontal line. This is the horizon. Next, we divide it in half, and from the resulting point we draw arcs diverging downwards, indicating the approximate boundaries of the track.
Creating a composition
Now we depict the approximate outlines of trees: to create the effect of a decreasing perspective, they should be located opposite each other on both sides of the alley, and the thickness of their trunks should gradually decrease towards the horizon. So, now we cut the magazines: the path and the sky can be made from larger parts, by the way, we glue them first, but for branches and leaves you will need small pieces and thin (straight and curved) stripes. In addition to green paper, you can also use plain white paper with text printed on it, this will dilute the bright composition and make it more interesting. The main rule for creating such an application is to try to constantly present the big picture, and then everything will definitely work out.
Third idea:picture of scraps of fabric
A very colorful idea would be an application on the theme "Spring has come", made of bright patches of fabric on a neutral color panel. You can use this technique both to create a wall picture, and to decorate bed linen, bedspreads, towels and even clothing items. As the main idea, you can choose a composition in the form of flowers and birds. To do this, you need to collect various scraps of fabric in green shades for the image of stems and leaves, yellow-orange - for the center of the flowers, and any other - for the petals. It is not at all necessary to select plain patches, on the contrary, the picture will look much more interesting if its elements contain their own small drawings. These can be patterns in the form of lines, stripes, small peas, that is, such that they do not take over the main attention and do not stand out against the general background.
Creating an application
To begin with, with the help of crayon on the fabric on the selected patches, we will depict all the necessary elements: small whole flowers and individual large petals, leaves of various shapes, stems in the form of straight and curved stripes. You can also cut out one or two birds in the form of a simple silhouette in profile with a wing on the side. Now we lay everything out on a panel so that the composition looks complete and harmoniously combines colors, we circle all the contours with chalk so as not to forget the location of the elements. Next, you need to sew them all on a typewriter using a zigzag seam. First of all, we fix the stems and leaves, then the petals and whole flowers, and we complete everything with yellow circles in their center, then we iron the picture with an iron in steam mode. So, our patchwork appliqué painting is ready!
