If you need to make a ladybug (applique) with a child at home or in an organized group, explore several options and choose the one that suits the level of complexity and speed of production. Kids will love making this cute insect at home or in the garden.
Simple application
If you are doing art with a small child and want to make a ladybug with him, it is better to assemble the application according to a ready-made template. Work like this:
- Find a picture of a ladybug to use as a template.
- Print the image and cut it into individual elements or make patterns from cardboard.
- Trace each detail along the contour, placing it on a sheet of colored paper of the corresponding shade.
- If your baby is still too young to stencil and cut out blanks, follow the previous steps yourself, and instruct the child to glue the elements onto the sheet. Explain what needs to be done first.take the torso and head, then the wings, and lastly, the little dotted circles.
Applique ladybug (middle group)
To work, you will need large green sheets to be used as a base (grass), black and red paper. The task is performed like this:
- Cut out two stenciled circles from black paper: one for the torso, the other for the head.
- Make two circles with red sheet for the wings.
- Cut out or use a hole puncher to cut out a lot of black speck circles.
- Stick a circle of the torso on the base of colored paper, overlap the top part of the head.
- Fold the red circles in half and stick both parts symmetrically on the body so that you get the effect of drop-down wings.
- Stick the black dots on the outside of the red half circles.
Crafts can be supplemented with application of a leaf, flower, grass.
Volumetric paper appliqué "Ladybug"
This red paper craft will take a bit more, as it will form the 3D object. The execution sequence is:
- Cut out two black circles for the torso and a smaller one for the head.
- Cut out some red circles. Fold each piece in half with the colored side facing in.
- Glue the red circles together sequentially.
- Glue the free half of the left part and the right part to the workpiecetorso.
- Cut out a lot of small circles and stick spots on the red wings, although this step can be done before the red circles are glued together into a three-dimensional part.
- Stick the resulting ladybug onto the base sheet.
- If desired, complete the panel with details in the form of grass, flowers, the sun.
Felt appliqué
A beautiful and simple ladybug (application) is easy to make not only from paper, but also from fabric, and it is even more convenient to use felt. It is bright, and most importantly, does not require slicing.
Work is going as follows:
- Find or draw your own outline image of a ladybug and prepare stencils of the constituent elements. If you make an insect in a simplified way, in the form of geometric shapes, then it is enough to cut out circles of different diameters from cardboard for the body, head and spots.
- Apply the resulting blanks to the felt of the corresponding color.
- Trace the parts around the outline and cut out all the parts in the right amount.
- Take the base and glue or sew the head onto it, then the body, and the spots on top.
- Make small details: antennae, paws, eyes. They are easy to stick on.
So, there are several ways to make a ladybug (application). It's easy and fun. Get your child creative. Make different variations of products.
