Globalization is changing the lives of people of all races, on all continents. The earlier civilization of the East, wise with the experience of a thousand-year history, is today opposed to the young civilization of the West, which is irresistibly rushing forward on the wave of scientific and technological progress. Which of the civilizations will remain, will be more capable of destroying the enemy and surviving?
The history of confrontations is a thing of the past
History teaches us that the barbarians always win the war, in our case it is clearly the West. For barbarians, the concept of "dialogue of civilizations" is inaccessible. They only understood that it is easier to take away than to create. Islam is the youngest religion and the most aggressive as Christianity was during the Crusades.
But besides the confrontation between the East and the West, the confrontation between the USA, Russia and the countries of Western Europe is much stronger, sharper and more urgent, that is, the struggle is internal, more fierce. This is a battle of technology, andthe struggle of religions (today it is Orthodoxy and Catholicism on the territory of Ukraine), the struggle for resources (primarily for oil in the Near and Middle East), the ideological war of states and their groups with each other. This struggle often results in local wars, armed clashes, and exhausts those participating in it.
And the East quietly and silently lives according to its own laws, realizing that "a bad peace is better than a good war." No matter how South Korea, China, India or Japan treat each other, they have been peacefully coexisting since the Second World War. With depleted natural resources, many different religions, honing, improving and using often stolen Western technologies and not forgetting their age-old traditions, today's East lives.
"Negotiations" are already slow
Dialogue of civilizations - this means listening to the other and speaking out yourself. And we repeatedly observe the process in the work of various international organizations, including representatives of Eastern and Western cultures: doctors, politicians, students, athletes, finally. A better understanding of each other, a joint fight against diseases, the problems of the modern world, including the environment, the energy crisis or global warming - these are the signs of a dialogue of civilizations.
It's hard to imagine modern medicine in any country without acupuncture technology, which the East knows much better than the West. And the doctors of the East are learning how to perform surgical operations in clinics in Europe, Russia and America.
Increase in the number of studentsthe languages of the West in the developed countries of the East and the growing interest in Oriental languages in the West and in America. What is it? Also one of the bright signs of today's dialogue of East-West civilizations.
The role of youth in "negotiations"
Moreover, young people participate in this dialogue much more actively and positively than the older generation, constantly and massively exchanging in the context of pop culture: light music, songs, dances, movies. Internet technologies make communication and connections between individual representatives of Eastern and Western cultures even closer and stronger. Already there are international youth slang and more. The dialogue of civilizations for boys and girls is the realities of today.
The destruction of tradition is inevitable
No matter how indignant demagogues are, young people in the West and East are striving for something new: they read new books or don’t read at all, sit at computers for days, listen to some music so loudly that it seems that it doesn’t matter what music it is. He does not give a damn about folk art in music, dance and other things, he does not imitate the traditions and ideals of his culture, he does not listen to his parents, with a few exceptions, of course. Unlike conservative parents, children do not want warmth and comfort, but an exciting and interesting life. If they are instilled with hatred for some group of people, convinced that only war is good, as it will make you a king, we will raise warriors with a medieval consciousness, regardless of whether in the West or East,let's raise fascists.
Traditions must change over time, whether we like it or not, both in the technogenic civilization of the West and in the traditional society of the East. The traditions of the East enter the civilization of the West as feng shui, the oriental calendar or martial arts, and the East accepts the inevitability of the transition of young people to the western lifestyle with nightclubs, western freedoms and democracy. And where to go! It is not enough to say that the East and the West influence each other, the dialogue of civilizations is today a rapid and deep exchange of everything that they have, that they love, that they are proud of for young people who communicate. Traditions that hinder this communication will be destroyed. Those who doubt this can look at the performances of Korean pop groups in the Middle East.
Dialogue problem. How solvable?
The problem of the dialogue of civilizations, like any other, is the desire and ability to speak. There is clearly an opportunity to speak. And this is not only literally a good command of today's English, subspecies of which, such as "Singlish" or "Chinglish" are already being studied by linguists from different countries. After all, there are other languages of communication: art, sports, medicine, and other types of human activity. The role of Russia in this dialogue has not yet been determined. Our country is too original, multinational, huge in territory and inertial. It follows its own path, which has much in common with both the West and the East, and remains a powerful division between the two civilizations, actively communicating with both Western and Eastern states.

Dialogue of civilizations - what is it, if not a far-fetched difficulty woven by nimble journalists from political, economic and religious differences? However, at any moment it can become a trump card in the sleeve of unscrupulous politicians who create a confrontation between people who are not much different from each other. The dialogue of neighbors, very different in age, religion, nationality will quickly develop into friendship in the joint solution of burning problems. And humanity has plenty of them today.
