In 1940, this educational institution changed its name and became the Vocational School. Not only boys, but also girls could enter here. School education was not held in high esteem, so finishing grades 4-7 was enough for admission.
Then the Second World War began, which interrupted the training sessions. All students went to the factories to work for the benefit of victory. Young people worked in equal conditions with adults. Students of the future Voronezh State Industrial and Economic College produced mines and the legendary Katyusha rocket launchers.
Classes resumed already in 1943, the situation in the educational institution improved.
In 1992, the school became a professional lyceum, and then got its modern name. The history of VGPEK has known both a short evacuation, and the emergence of new buildings, and numerous renamings, and stagnation, and rapid development.
