Step 1. Choosing a study program

The first step is to assess your interests and abilities in order to select the right study program. To do this correctly, it is important to know what departments exist at the university.

Step 2. Deadlinefiling documents

Below are the application deadlines for programs taught in English and Russian.

May 1 - for non-EU applicants.

Deadline for applying for contract-based places is July 15, both for EU citizens and for citizens of other countries.

Online application is available for all programs except medicine and dentistry.

Step 3. Entry Fee

The cost of the application is 100 euros. The online application will be considered only after payment of the entry fee. If you do not enter the university, this fee is not refundable.

Step 4. Application Requirements

Applicants must attach the documents below to apply.

First - education documents. For admission to undergraduate programs, Russian applicants must submit the following documents:

  • certificate of secondary (complete) education;
  • appendix to the certificate;
  • certificate of the results of the unified state exam.

For admission to master's programs:

If an applicant is in their last year of school or university at the time of application submission, they must provide recent academic records and a certificate with the date of graduation.

Second - motivational letter. A motivation letter of 1200 to 4000 characters must be attached to the application.

Third - a certificate ofknowledge of the language. For study programs taught in English: IELTS 5.5+, iBT TOEFL 65+.

If the applicant's native language is English, or they have previously obtained a diploma in English, presentation of a certificate is not required.

For study programs taught in Russian: Proof of Russian language proficiency at C1 level.

If the applicant's native language is Russian, or they have previously received a diploma in Russian, confirmation of knowledge of the language is not required.

Following documents:

  1. Receipt of payment of the entry fee.
  2. Letter of recommendation (for undergraduate programs - 1, for master's programs - 2).
  3. Certified copy of passport.

No admissions required.

Step 5. Document Requirements

All documents in a language other than English, Lithuanian or Russian must be accompanied by an official translation. Documents in English, Lithuanian or Russian do not require translation and must be supplemented only by certified copies.

Step 6. Reception results

After the final submission of the online application, all documents are processed. The final results of enrollment are announced 40 working days after the deadline. Successful applicants receive university admission letters.

Admission criteria: grades, letter of motivation, English language proficiency test (for programs in English) and, if necessary, experience in the field of the chosen study program.

Students are required to confirmwhether they accept the university's offer of admission within 7 business days.

Step 7. Tuition fees

After confirming your decision on admission, you must transfer the fee for the first year of study.

After receiving the payment, the university prepares the documents required for the visa application and sends them to the student.

Step 8. Lithuanian visa

After receiving the necessary documents from Vilnius University, you must apply for a national visa at the nearest Lithuanian consulate.

Step 9. Book your stay at the hostel

One of the most important issues to be resolved before the start of the school year is the issue of accommodation. All international students can apply for university accommodation.

Step 10. Arranging a visit and getting mentor support

If a student needs support at the beginning of his stay in Vilnius, he can ask for help from a mentor. The mentor meets the student at the airport or train station and helps to get to know the university.
