The list of references is an integral part of any intellectual work, whether it is a school report or a professor's dissertation. Certain rules apply to its design, which must be observed in order to avoid difficulties with the supervisor. This list is traditionally placed after the main work. It includes all sources that were mentioned in the text, as well as those from which information was taken for analysis.
The list of used literature is not just a list of books, but also their bibliographic description, which is recommended to be taken from the reference, usually located at the end of the publication or on the back of the title page. All sources must be arranged in a certain sequence. The list of references includes electronic resources, if theyneeded for work.
Bibliography is done on a separate sheet. At its beginning, it is necessary to note the regulatory documents, if such were used. They are arranged in groups, which are distinguished depending on the degree of significance. In each group, sources are listed in chronological order.

For example, when preparing an essay, a student should include in the list of used literature on economics all the sources that were used in the work. It is especially important in this case to make references to normativedocuments.
Since there are usually quite a lot of sources (and in a dissertation, for example, there can be up to 200 of them), the list of references (design) can be made not manually, but using the tools of the "MS Word" program. The 2007 version provides such opportunities. For this purpose, a group is specially assigned here, which has the name "References and lists of used literature". This will greatly facilitate the task if a term paper or a thesis is being done. In a school report or essay, in most cases, it is easier to make a list yourself.
In order to correctly format the bibliography, it is important to familiarize yourself with the examples of source descriptions in advance. Not only the author and title should be indicated here, but also the name of the publisher, as well as the year of publication of the book.
