In modern history there were many individuals who thought that they had finally found the root of all evils that tormented unfortunate humanity. After such a discovery, the smallest thing remains - to eliminate the annoying obstacle on the path to universal happiness. Unfortunately, more often than not, the simpler the solution seems, the more difficult the task is in reality.
Major-General Konstantin Petrov thought about the imperfection of the world long ago, when he served in the military space forces of the USSR. An excellent graduate of the Dzerzhinsky Academy of Missile Forces, he defended his Ph. D. thesis, held a high position at Baikonur, then taught at the St. Petersburg Military Space Academy, acting as deputy head of the educational institution. He certainly became one of the most authoritative leaders of the social and political movement, which received the memorable name "Dead Water".
The description of the conceptual basis of the party, since 2000 called "Unification", would take more than one page of small text, which indicates the vagueness of the program, despitethe abundance of its graphical and even mathematical reinforcements. General Petrov expounded the theoretical provisions of the organization in a simpler and more understandable language, demonstrating considerable erudition and outstanding intelligence.
Participating in meetings of neo-pagans, he called for unity around primordial values, that is, in fact, for the return of worship to the forces of nature. Of course, there is no place for Christians in the orderly ranks of the defenders of everything “down-to-earth” and “homespun”, so General Petrov “crossed himself”, after which he changed his name and became Miragor.
The movements in which this strange man took part changed names, but he invariably occupied leading positions in them. Even the term "god-holding" was coined, symbolizing the support of the new political party by the higher forces. In 1995, General Petrov was fired from the Armed Forces, at the same time there was a split within the interregional organization, which broke up into "Dead Water" and everything else.
The public movement has repeatedly tried to actively pursue its policy. General Petrov put forward his candidacy for the post of Novosibirsk governor and mayor, and for a novice politician, he showed good results, taking average places in popularity ratings.
The 2003 elections to the State Duma demonstrated the electorate's cautious attitude towards a movement proposing such radical social and ideological reforms: the five percent barrier was not overcome.
FinancialDead Water was supported by V. Efimov, the former ideological secretary of the Leningrad city committee, who became the “pasta king” under the new conditions. Apparently, the craving for the only correct and comprehensive teaching remained with him from the past.
Since 2005, Konstantin Pavlovich, aka Miragor, has joined the SSO (Union of Slavic Communities). For legal reasons, the association changes its name to ROD KPE (“The Course of Truth and Unity”), and he becomes its chairman, not forgetting about literary activities. The two-volume "Secrets of Mankind Control" was published in 2008.
Died Major General Petrov Konstantin Pavlovich in 2009, he was 64 years old. Despite all the oddities, according to the recollections of those who knew him well, he was an amazing person who sincerely believed in his idea.
