The doors of the then school No. 746 in the Otradnoye microdistrict (in the north-east of the capital) opened for the first time for young fidgets in September 1982. First changes
In 1993, the future Gymnasium No. 1554 was affected by the initial reforms. Then the department of education of the capital proposed a new model, according to which the organization of the so-called school-complexes, which would combine a nursery, a kindergarten and a school, was imputed. Thus, the kid in the same place had to go through all the stages of education, starting with preschool. That was the purpose of this reform.
There are still a lot of such schools-complexes in the country, and the first ones began to appear precisely in those distant nineties of the last century. So instead of the 746th, school No. 1628 appeared in Otradnoye, a school-complex, which included, in addition to the aforementioned temple of knowledge, a nursery garden 1015 and a nursery garden 1549. The official name of the reorganized educational institution was the "Educational Complex", abbreviated UVK.
Besides the fact that children in this complex studied continuously from the very first preschool level up to the eleventh grade, the UVK had agreements with some higher educational institutions so that school graduates could continue their studies there. These are universities such as, for example, the University of Communications and the Pedagogical University.
New Age
The new millennium that replaced the twentieth century brought with it another perturbation. UVK had very high achievements - almost all school graduates went to universities, there were a lot of excellent students, medalists, prize-winners andlaureates of various competitions and olympiads. The guys showed high knowledge in mathematics, physics, literature, foreign languages. That is why in 2005 kindergarten-school No. 1678 was again reorganized and became what it is now - gymnasium No. 1554.
Not only the name of the school has changed. The methods used by teachers have changed, a new approach to education has been developed within the framework of the gymnasium in accordance with the new standards. The educational program was also revised. Being UVK, the school had high performance, and I did not want to lose them in the status of a gymnasium at all.
Over the next few years, the educational institution was reorganized twice more. First, progymnasium No. 1709 and secondary school No. 258 were attached to it, and a few years later the Otradnoye educational center and school No. 240 were also attached. What a complex, so complex!

Currently, gymnasium No. 1554 in Moscow is located in several educational buildings at once. In some there are nursery and "kindergarten" groups, in the other - primary classes, senior and middle classes are also separated into different buildings.
