In psychotherapy in the early nineties of the last century, a new method appeared, which was called the “Hellinger constellation”. Having received its name thanks to the founder, it is successfully used by specialists today. Moreover, every year it enjoys increasing popularity, since its use, oddly enough for many, is striking in its effectiveness. Followers appear, specialists are trained.
B. Hellinger at one time attended and mastered the course of psychoanalysis, family and gest alt therapy. Having summarized his knowledge and skills, he (together with like-minded people) created the Bert Hellinger constellation method, which is based on the synthesis of all currents in psychology.
He was able to identify patterns that lead families to destructive conflicts. This method is used with equal success in both group and individual work. Clients can be persons over 14 years old who really want to find solutions to their problem. You should not attend such classes out of idle curiosity, since the main thing here is positive motivation, not skepticism. Hellinger constellations help to deal with problems in family relationships, work well in the presence of various somatic diseases, when working with fears, and are applicable for resolving conflicts in a team. When working through these problems, special attention is paid to confidentiality, non-disclosure of information received during therapy. This is a professional psychotherapeutic method, in their work it is used by those who have undergone appropriate training, since the interpretation of the results and the actual placement itself depends on the professional competence and experience of the specialist.
Hellinger constellations are as follows: first, the client of a psychotherapist from a group of people chooses those who, in his opinion, are most suitable for working out a particular situation.
Then he arranges them in the space allotted for work, as his own intuition tells him. This is where the work begins. People or figures (if we are talking about individual psychotherapy), placed by the client in space, are a reflection of the subconscious image of the problem situation.
Hellinger systemic constellations got their name because systemic problems are being worked out, a few meetingscarried out at large time intervals. "Family interweaving" - another term introduced by this psychotherapist - is that in the family past (globally - the whole family, in the extended family) has not ended. The memory of the ancestors dominates the present, as if demanding the completion of unfinished business. Consequently, descendants are simply doomed to complete something started by their ancestors. Such an interweaving is easy to recognize - it takes place if a lot of effort is made to achieve some goal, but nothing comes out. For example, a person who carefully monitors his he alth is constantly sick; one who does not shy away from any work can barely make ends meet.
The amazing thing is that substitutes (the people the client chooses to place) play the role of a person they know absolutely nothing about, but nevertheless they accurately reproduce the emotions and feelings of the one they are replacing.
Hellinger constellation is a unique and unusual method, it works, despite the apparent near-science and shades of esotericism.
