Technology in school is a very interesting and entertaining subject. For more than half an hour, you can not think about boring mathematics and Russian, but do something applied. In a technology lesson, the student comes into contact with piercing, cutting and other dangerous objects, which means that he has a risk of injury. To minimize these risks and, at best, reduce them to zero, you need to know safety precautions in technology lessons.
General rules
Safety precautions in technology lessons are formed depending on various types of activities, but there are generally accepted rules that must be observed regardless of the type of your activity in the lesson. Let's list them.
Firstly, it is not recommended to be late for the technology lesson. It is advisable to arrive five minutes in advance in order to have time to prepare your workplace and change into work clothes. If you arrived before the teacher, then you should not enter the classroom.
Second, on safety, at the technology lessonyou can not be distracted, you need to carefully listen to the teacher and start work only with his permission. Do not pay attention to extraneous matters, and if there is a need for distraction, it is better to interrupt work.
Third, it is forbidden to use defective working tools. If the technique has deteriorated, tell the teacher.
Fourthly, after the work done, you must carefully clean the workplace, take off your overalls and fold them neatly.
Safety briefing
Before you start work in the lesson, the teacher is obliged to instruct. This is a certain set of safety rules in technology lessons. It is divided into introductory briefing, which is conducted for the first time; primary - at the beginning of a major topic; unscheduled, which is necessary if a traumatic situation has occurred and students need to be re-instructed; repeated - produced every six months; target - performed before working with equipment that has not been used before.
At the end of the technology safety briefing, students are given a journal to which they must sign to confirm that the rules have been heard and understood.
Rules for boys
Work in the workshop involves the use of various sharp dimensional objects and machines. Before starting work, it is necessary to put on protective equipment, as a rule, for each specific type of work they are individual - glasses, a dressing gown, a hat, mittens.
If the lesson involves manualprocessing of wood and metal, then before work it is necessary to check the serviceability of the working tool and the reliability of fixing the source material in special clamps. In the process of work, care must be taken to calculate the force applied to impact or cutting equipment. Do not brush off metal chips or hold the raw material with a hand that is not protected by a special glove.
When working with the machine, it is necessary to check the operability of the tool "idle", feed the raw materials carefully and smoothly and do not try to touch the mechanism with your hands.
Rules for girls
Safety in technology classes for girls is slightly different from that in the workshop. The work of girls is mainly related to sewing or cooking. Overalls are the same everywhere - an apron and a headdress.
When working with an electric sewing machine, it is strictly forbidden to be distracted, lean too close to the working needle. If possible, use a thimble and make sure that your fingers are not too close to the foot. Do not put needles or other sharp objects in your mouth. If it becomes necessary to use the iron, check its operation before use, and do not bring your hands too close to the hot surface during operation.
When working in the kitchen, observe the rules of personal hygiene: wash your hands. Use specially marked cutting boards. Do not move quickly near boiling pots. When cutting and cleaning anyproducts do not rush and be careful.
Primary grade rules
Safety in primary technology lessons is based on what is used in the classroom. Children are mainly engaged in simple needlework, making crafts.
Before class, you must remove all textbooks and cover the desk with oilcloth so as not to get dirty. It is recommended to collect hair and change into a special dressing gown or apron.
The teacher needs to make sure that the children use scissors carefully: they cut only with the sharp end away from themselves, and pass it with the sharp end towards themselves; they didn’t taste glue or plasticine, didn’t play around with them, didn’t scatter them. Needles should always be threaded so they are easier to find. Never allow children to put a needle in their mouth or use it without a thimble.
After class, the child should carefully fold the tools used, wash their hands and change clothes.
