The university, which is constantly on the top lines of domestic and foreign ratings, MIPT, receives very high reviews from students, graduate students and employers. It trains highly qualified specialists in various fields of modern science.
Renaming
The Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology" (State University) has something to be proud of. It was created in November 1946 as a faculty of Moscow State University, on the basis of which it was formed in 1951 as the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. In 2009, the university began to correspond to the category of a national research university. In 2011, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, whose reviews were still loud in the higher professional education environment, changed its name again.
Now students and graduate students are proud to study at the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology" (State University). In November 2011, the type of the existing FGBO VPO was changed andan autonomous educational institution that remained the federal and state Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University).
History
MIPT collects not false reviews, because the history of this wonderful educational institution is truly enviable. It was founded and taught here by such stellar physicists as Nobel Prize winners L. D. Landau, P. L. Kapitsa, N. N. Semyonov. I. F. Petrov became the first rector. And among the graduates of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (SU), there are also enough Nobel laureates. Its professorship consists of leading Russian scientists, more than eighty academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences and corresponding members.
Unless, under such conditions, can MIPT get negative reviews? With its original system of training highly qualified specialists, which has been used since the founding of the university - the Phystech system - engineering disciplines and classical fundamental education, plus student research work, perfectly combine and complement each other perfectly. The history of the university, filled with significant events, has given stability to long-term traditions, due to which today there is practically no equal education in this field anywhere in the country. Even the emblem of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (SU) symbolizes true devotion to science.
Applicants
Budget places, as in all public universities now, are limited in number, but still there are quite a lot of them. Applied mathematics and physics were given 740 places, and in the competition group "Mathematics and Chemistry" - 30 more. Applied computer science and mathematics invites 120 applicants, pluscomputer security - 10 and system analysis in two groups - 10 more. There are more main places in MIPT (budget) than with contractual payment, which in itself speaks of the quality and sustainable position of this university. From here, either scientists or talented practitioners graduate, but most often - both together.
A specialist who presented a MIPT diploma is worth its weight in gold, which, of course, all employers know about. That is why many of them participate in the target set. These are such serious companies as FMBA RF, Concern "Sozvezdie", FSUE TsNIIMash, Kurchatov Institute, JSC "Russian Space Systems", NPO Almaz, NPP "Thorium", TsIAM named after P. I. Baranov, RSC Energia, Corporation "Kometa", SSC "Center of Keldysh", NPO "Orion", VNII GO EMERGENCY, Roszdravnadzor, LII named after M. M. Gromov, JSC NIIAO, Scientific Research Center of Electronic Computer Engineering, Research Institute of Aviation Equipment, JSC "Proektmashpribor", JSC Information satellite systems, MBK "Compass" and some others. But in any case, it is very, very difficult to pass exams at MIPT, even if the applicant is taught by one of these corporations.
Documents
Documents are accepted from June 20 to July 26 inclusive for places paid by the budget. For paid education, the applicant must hurry up with the surrender before the sixth of July. Those who are going to take entrance examinations must submit documents before July 11th. On the twenty-eighth of July, on the first and sixth of Augustenrollment - in three stages. Priority subjects: mathematics, physics, computer science, astronomy, chemistry, Russian. All areas of study conducted by the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) require a certain number of points for each subject.
So, in the Russian language - 50 points, in computer science, chemistry, physics and mathematics - at least 65, only in this case the entrance examinations will be passed successfully. At MIPT, the passing score cannot change during admission and does not differ on different bases of study. That is, neither persons with special rights, nor those passing through the target admission quota, nor those entering the budget, nor those prepared to pay for education - no one will enter this university without gaining the proper number of points. And at MIPT, the passing score is very high. Even if the applicant has numerous victories at the olympiads in the senior class, all the same, the USE results should have at least seventy-five points for each relevant subject.
Special rights
There are categories of applicants who are accepted without entrance examinations, because their value as future students is already highly valued. These are prize-winners and winners of the final round of the All-Russian Olympiad, in which schoolchildren participated, in physics, chemistry, mathematics and computer science. In addition, these are prize-winners and winners of the fourth stage in the same disciplines of all-Ukrainian Olympiads for schoolchildren, but if these people are citizens of Russia, for example, residents of the Crimea permanently residing there, or residents of Sevastopol who studied according to the curriculum and the statestandard of general secondary education. Participants of international Olympiads in astronomy, physics, mathematics, computer science and chemistry, members of Russian teams, as well as members of the Ukrainian national teams who lived in the Crimea and participated in international Olympiads are admitted to MIPT without entrance examinations.
Special quotas
The procedure for admission to the MIPT provides for the right to study within the framework of a special quota of disabled children, as well as disabled children, disabled people of the first and second groups, disabled due to illness or military injury received while serving in the Russian Army, if medically -social examination will not find contraindications to study at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Orphans and children left without parental care also use a special quota. Combat veterans can also use a special quota for admission to the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University).
MIPT conducts entrance examinations for these categories of persons independently, in writing and for each subject separately - all within the framework of the secondary school curriculum. At MIPT, exams are given only in Russian. They take place in the main building of the Institute. When conducting entrance examinations for applicants with disabilities or disabilities, it is always ensured that all requirements for conducting entrance examinations are met, taking into account special provisions.

Where and how students live
All main buildings and hostels of MIPTare located in this city, although it is not far from Moscow - it takes no more than half an hour to get to the Timiryazevskaya metro station, many students studying in the center of the capital get to the place much longer. Although, the comparison is not so necessary: why should a MIPT student visit Moscow often? The hostel is nearby, all the necessary infrastructure is quite well developed. Across the road - all educational buildings, nearby - a clinic, a stadium and a swimming pool.
Couples start at nine in the morning and there are a lot of them - four or five every day, that is, the end of studies is always only in the evening. It's hard to even find time to relax. For lunch, the break is usually not stable - a "window" in one pair. Students have lunch in canteens, of which there are many in MIPT. The hostel is preferred by fans of home cooking - they also have time to return to the next couple. And Muscovites from time to time settle in hostels, and non-residents all live there.
First
Since this university has a lot of buildings for the settlement of students, there is enough space for everyone. The buildings are different, the living conditions in them are the same. Several block houses, corridor type, where freshmen live in a room for four. In "Edinichka" (dormitory No. 1), there are thirty-five rooms on each floor, two toilets and two washing rooms with clothes dryer - in each wing there is a set. Two kitchens per floor with table, sink and two stoves with ovens. There are also two souls - male and female. There is a laundry room with five washing machines, a reading room as a place to study - with table lamps, bookcases and a whiteboard.
The club functions here, where all kinds of events are held - discos, birthdays, as well as student meetings on serious occasions. You can keep fit in the "rocking chair" - there are a variety of exercise equipment, table tennis. Musicians can play the piano on the first floor, and a printer is installed on the second floor, where each student can print out the documents or information he needs. All dorm rooms have internet access via cable and Wi-Fi.
Second and last
The Faculty of Innovations basically lodges its students in hostel No. 2. From here it is less than a hundred meters to the New MIPT building - it's convenient. Near the stadium, several canteens, a clinic, a swimming pool. in "Dvoechka" after a major overhaul in 2012, high-quality plumbing, power supply and fire safety systems, modern double-glazed windows appeared. Just like in the first hostel, there are two kitchens with powerful electric stoves on each floor. There is a reading room, a fairly spacious club and a small meeting room, a gym, internet, and so on. The students are quite comfortable here.
You don't have to write about all the dormitories, since the set of amenities is approximately the same. A seventeen-story building with four entrances differs from them - apartment-type hostel No. 10. Young employees of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology live here. Two hundred and fifty six apartments, forty meters one-room and fifty-five square meters - two-room. This building at MIPT appeared in 2014. Fifteen-storyHostel No. 11 is also an apartment type - with three entrances. Students of the Faculty of Radio Engineering and Cybernetics and the Faculty of Problems of Physics and Energy live here. Total 168 apartments.
