In general, the adjective "average" in Russian has two meanings:

In relation to education, this term is used to determine its level. But in fact, the quality of knowledge in different cases is different.
Required level
In Russia, first of all, the secondary school provides secondary education. This is how many classes you need to study at school in order for education to correspond to this level? It is necessary and constitutionally obligatory to study the school program - 11 classes. The presence of secondary education is confirmed by a special certificate. It is issued upon successful completion of training. Previously, it was called a matriculation certificate. Such a document is received by the student at the end of the full course of study in secondary school, that is, after grade 11.
Education outside of school

Usually, you can enter any school both after the 9th and after the 11th grade. Education after the ninth is significantly longer than for young people who have already received a complete secondary education. How many classes (years) are saved in this case? Approximately six months to a year. So, for example, if you go to study as a seamstress after the 9th grade, then the training period is two and a half years, and after the 11th grade - 1 year. A simple calculation reveals savings in 6 months.
Secondary general education: how many classes
In general, all education is not without reason divided into three stages. Each of them has a specific meaning. Primary school is, first of all, the socialization of a person. It not only gives elementary knowledge, but also teaches to learn, to fulfill the requirements. Secondary school in Russia is a huge choice of subjects. If you conscientiously and scrupulously study all of them, at least according totextbooks, the level of education will be quite high. Such a large selection is given in order to provide the student with maximum opportunities. Education in the middle link of a general education school lasts five years. Two graduation classes in practice are usually preparation for a university or technical school.
Thus, for five years of middle management in school, you get, basically, a secondary education. How many classes and how many subjects? The number of the latter differs from year to year. But several areas of learning can be identified:
- humanitarian;
- science;
- exact sciences.
Subjects of all directions are present in the program of any year from the fifth to the ninth grade.
Education level
In different educational institutions, it differs dramatically. Some gymnasiums already provide a very good education. Teachers work on individual programs, students are selected and regularly take exams. As a result, graduates have high knowledge when receiving a matriculation certificate.
Vocational school also teaches subjects of general education, but at the same time its level is completely different: students are not so interested in learning, and teachers cannot give the program in full. As a result, the knowledge of students in such institutions is very approximate and incomplete, although they also receive a certificate of secondary education.
