Maria Orlova has been active in skeleton since the age of 12, and in 2008 Masha was selected for the national team, where she began to take part in major international competitions, showing very good results.
Debuting at the European Cup in the German town of Winterberg, Orlova showed the ninth time, with the same results spent the rest of the season. The girl has always clung to the top ten.
Next, Maria was waiting for the youth world championship, the result of which was ninth place.
The next season, Maria Orlova significantly increased the pace: only once she failed to gain a foothold in the top ten of the eight stages held, and in the overall standings she finished the seasonin fourth place.
At the end of 2010, with varying success, the athlete participated in the America's Cup and in the same season took part in the Intercontinental Cup.
