From Krasnodar to Sochi, the distance in a straight line is only 170 kilometers, but due to the specifics of the area along the highway, it turns out to be longer - 290 kilometers. It can be overcome in many ways - by flying by plane, by bus or train, or by car.
Air flight option
Despite the short distance, planes fly between the regional center and the resort. The plane flies the distance from Krasnodar to Sochi in 45-69 minutes. Departure takes place from the Pashkovsky airport, and the plane lands at the Adler airport. The departure schedule is as follows:

Rail ride
There is a suburban service between the regional center and the resorta train. One of the longest routes in the country. He travels the distance from Krasnodar to Sochi in 6 hours. Departs at 06:28. There are many stops, some of them are long for electric trains: Goryachiy Klyuch, Chinari, Tuapse, Loo. 10 to 40 minutes.
In the opposite direction, the train leaves at 18:06 and covers the distance from Sochi to Krasnodar in 5 hours. The ticket costs 350 rubles.
On long-distance trains, the distance from Krasnodar to Sochi can be traveled in 4 hours on a new type of train "Lastochka" and in 6-8 hours. Trains between cities run around the clock, you can leave at any time. There are more flights between the end of May and the beginning of September. Some trains can be branded and double-decker or even trains of the Belarusian formation from Minsk to Adler.

Drive a car

You need to move to the southeast along the M-4 highway and through Adygeya move to Dzhubga on the Black Sea coast, and then turn onto the A-147, which leads to Sochi. There are many attractions in Sochi and its surroundings: a ski resort, a botanical garden, Olympic facilities, museums, an embankment, tea plantations.
