The system of cooperation with the family should be thought out and organized, as this is an important part of the upbringing of the student, especially in elementary school. Spontaneous, not having a clear structure, parent-teacher meetings will cause only alarm and bewilderment in fathers and mothers. Such an event will not bring any results, since it is ineffective. Most often, meetings cover general issues on the organization of the educational process. It is recommended that this event be held at least once every quarter. However, it all depends on the characteristics of the class, as well as the accumulation of current issues that need to be resolved collectively. It is perfectly acceptable to invite adults to school once a month.
Organizational parent meeting in grade 1 is held in late August or early September. Here it is just appropriate to acquaint parents with the regime, discuss issues of school uniforms, student supplies. At the end of May, the results are summed up. The rest of the time, adults are invited mainly to thematic parent-teacher meetings. Their goal is not only to discuss current problems, but also to talk about some of the subtleties in raising children. At the same time, the topic of the meeting should be relevant enough and concern the majority of those present.
Preparation and holding of the event are carried out in several stages. First, it is an invitation from the parents. You can limit yourself to verbal notification of the date and time, or you can be creative and distribute beautiful postcards or invitation cards to students, in which it is necessary to mention the topics that will be discussed.
The next step is to develop a script with all the details in mind. The form of the meeting can be different: a conference, a debate, etc. Events in which parents are not passive listeners, but active participants are quite effective.

At the end, it is worth leaving time for personal conversations with the parents of students who have problems. You should not delay the event too much, its duration should not exceed 40-50 minutes.
Parent-teacher meetings should help educate parents, and not be a mere statement of failure or mistakes of children. Psychologists do not recommend the teacher to use an instructive, instructive tone in communication. A smile and a friendly speech will help to immediately set the parents on a positive, which is why the effectiveness of the event will be much higher.
