Have you ever thought about why this or that product repels or attracts? This is a very interesting system that designers around the world follow to achieve their goal. They face a lot of problems that are solved with the help of knowledge and experience. In a world of technological possibilities, color problems are solved by designers using a safe color table.
Role of color
In the modern world, design lives at every turn. Almost all familiar objects have a design vision. With the right design, there should be basic principles that guarantee an excellent result: conciseness and a sense of color.
Conciseness restrains the designer from unnecessary visual techniques, a large number of which only repels the user. The ability to work with color, in turn, carries a huge amount of information. Color conveys the right mood and atmosphere and inspires the viewer with a description of the company or product.
Any designer knows that a well-chosen color scheme decides a lot, becauseThe first impression of the site is created by the user due to the color scheme. It is color that can be called the most powerful factor that affects the relationship between the consumer and the presented product.
Color Meaning
Two main groups can be distinguished:
- red, yellow, blue;
- orange, green, purple.
The first trio differs from the second one in that these colors cannot be created by mixing others. These two groups are the basis of color decisions and allow you to create the right number of shades.
Before using any color, you should think about its connection with the client and with the object, whether it's a website or printing products. Each shade in different parts of the Earth has a different meaning. Red for us represents love, passion, excitement, and in China, this color conveys purity and good luck.
Family yellow helps us feel the warmth of the sun. In Europe, this color shows cowardice, while in Asia it reflects the importance of the title in society. Blue conveys a feeling of heavenly serenity, while in the West this color creates depression.
Orange and green mainly carry the symbolism of life and harvest. Contrasting purple conveys mourning or healing.
Many people perceive the color decision differently. A number of designers forget about people with disabilities, namely, aboutcolorblind. In some cases, a well-designed site will not look good for this category of people, which makes up 9% of the population. In order for product design to appeal to everyone, it is worth first considering most of the possible problems that anyone can face. A well-described table of safe colors on the Internet helps to cope with one of these problems.
Color Story
In order for a design solution to be harmonious and fulfill all its tasks of attracting attention, you first need to understand the history of color. A certain number of people have a sense of taste that allows them to easily combine different shades in their work. And those who are not confident in their abilities can safely use the color wheel. It was created by Isaac Newton, who put forward the theory of light and color to the world in 1666. It was this knowledge that laid the foundation for the development of optical laws.
Newton, using a transparent prism, was able to decompose ordinary light into seven colors of the rainbow familiar to us. Thanks to this experiment, a color wheel appeared, which presents the viewer with primary, contiguous and contrasting colors.
Safe Color Chart
When creating designs for Internet resources, few amateurs take into account technological possibilities. However, an experienced designer knows that color rendering on different screens can differ from each other. That is, the same color can be seen by the user in completely different ways. In certain situations, when the browser can't render a certain color, it will show a similar tone or mix several others.
This problem was solved by some masters of their craft, among them the Russian designer Artemy Lebedev. He introduced a table of safe colors for use on the web. It is these colors that are displayed on all screens in the same way and are not distorted in any way.
The full table introduced the viewer to 216 colors - 36 combinations of 6 shades of primary colors. Two indicators are indicated above each component of the table. The first is RGB for use in graphic editors. And the second HEX denotes HTML in Lebedev's table of safe colors for seeing the tone on the Web.
