The purpose of the formation of the Saratov Prosecutor's Office is to improve the skills of specialists for subsequent work in the prosecutor's offices of Russia, the North Caucasus, the Volga region, as well as regions of the north-west. Subsequently, about forty regions of our country were assigned to the institution.
The official opening took place on December 19, 1996. Earlier, in 1976, the institute had three faculties: legal, investigative and judicial-prosecutory. The number of students of the latter reached more than 1000 people. Shundikov V. D. was the dean and held his post for four years. Over the next five years, Gavrilov V. V. was the dean. Later, Panteleenko V. A. took the post. He was in the position of dean until 1996.
At the moment, there are six departments at the Saratov Prosecutor's Office: Theory of State and Law, Constitutional and International Law, Forensic Science, Legal Psychology, Physical Culture and Sports, Prosecutorial Supervision. Each of them has a scientific school in its composition and unitesRussian scientists.
Entry Requirements
Students entering the Institute of the Prosecutor's Office of Saratov for free places, which are paid from the state budget, are required to receive recommendations from the prosecutor of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation, as well as undergo special psychological testing. With some graduates, they conclude an agreement on subsequent employment in the prosecutor's office.
Training of specialists
Now the institution trains both legal professionals and recruits students who receive training in legal security. The main goal of creating the Institute of the Saratov Prosecutor's Office is to increase the level of education of specialists for the prosecutor's office.
According to the data of the past and current years, 546 full-time students can study law, and 31 by correspondence.
