The Higher School of Television of Moscow State University is one of the modern structural divisions of Moscow University. The faculty annually graduates qualified specialists. About faculty
The Faculty of Television began educational activities in 2008, although it was created two years earlier. The first graduation of students studying at the undergraduate level was in 2012, but the first undergraduates graduated from the faculty already in 2010. Today, about 200 students study at the Higher School of Economics at Moscow State University.
Structural units
There are only 2 departments in the structure of the faculty:
- journalism and television;
- literature.

The scientific library of the faculty includes a large amount of literature related to the direction of journalism. Preparatory Courses
A number of educational projects are being carried out on the basis of the faculty, aimed at preparing the applicant for admission to Moscow State University, namely, for passing the creative competition. The creative competition is a mandatory DWI for admission to the Higher School of Economics, Moscow State University. DWI preparation courses run from September to May. The cost of training is 42,000 rubles. In order to start studying, the applicant must submit a set of documents, as well as pay for the entire period of study. Payment is a one-time payment. The set of documents includes a passport, a certificate confirming that the student is studying at school in the 11th grade, the passport of the parent who makes the payment, as well as 2 photographs of the appropriate size. A set of documents is submitted to the educational department of the Higher School of Economics, Moscow State University.
Educational programs
The faculty implements educational programs at the 1st and 2nd levels of higher education. The educational program presented at the bachelor's degree is the main educational, the direction of preparation is "Television".

In 2018, 12 state-funded places and 25 paid ones were allocated for the undergraduate program. For magistracy, the figures are as follows: 10 people can go to state-funded places and 25 vacant places for students who will need to pay for tuition. The cost of education at both levels of education is 350,500 rubles per year.
Entrance exams
For admission to the bachelor's degree at the Higher School of Economics at Moscow State University, an applicant must pass state exams in such subjects of the school curriculum as Russian language, literature, and history. In addition, applicants must successfully pass a creative competition held directly by Moscow State University. The purpose of the entrance test is to identify the creative potential in the applicant. The entrance test takes place in both written and oral form. For admission to the master's program, the successful completion of the test in the profile "Theory and Practice of Television" is required. The exam is in writing.
Passing points
In 2017, the passing score, which allowed applicants to go to budget places in the Higher School of Television, was 339. The maximum possible number of points that an applicant could score was 400. This value is the sum of 3 state exams, as well as DWI from Moscow State University, which alsomaximum score 100 points.

Practice
In order for students to be ready for the practical activities of their chosen profession, during their studies at the faculty they undergo industrial practice several times. For 1st year undergraduate and graduate students, a special educational television studio has been created, in which students can hone their skills, as well as apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
In the 2nd and 3rd year of undergraduate studies, students do internships in leading media holdings, for example, VGTRK. Students get the opportunity to practice on such TV channels as: "Russia 1", Russia Today, "Russia 22", "Russia Culture" and others.
Dormitories
Students from other cities, enrolled in full-time education and state-funded places, get the opportunity to live in a student hostel at Moscow State University. The hostel building is located at the following address: Vernadsky Avenue, building 37.
Students enrolled in full-time paid departments also get the opportunity to stay in a student hostel, but at an additional cost. The student hostel is located at the address: Leninskiye Gory, building 1.
Student dormitories assigned to Moscow State University are fully equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay of students. The hostels have gyms,free Wi-Fi access.
Additional education
HST, in addition to basic educational programs, works on advanced training programs. One of them is called "Public Speaking Technique".
