Ekaterina Vyacheslavovna Direktorenko comes from a small Belarusian town with the funny name of Gorki. Her interests from childhood were multifaceted: Ekaterina dreamed of becoming a journalist, she could sit in the library for days on end with books, she was professionally engaged in vocals, she was involved in the modeling business for a long time, but in the end, unexpectedly for herself, at the age of 16 she chose the theater. The young actress was lucky - in GITIS, in the workshop of Leonid Kheifets, there were budget places, and, having passed the audition, Ekaterina Direktorenko became a happy student of the country's main theater university. She was even doubly lucky - after the first year of the Moscow Art Theater School, she was allowed to enter the second year immediately.
Ekaterina's course was truly "stellar". Artur Smolyaninov, Maxim Zykov, the Panchiki brothers, Anna Zdor and other talented actors of our time studied with her. With Arthur Smolyaninov, Ekaterina for a long timewere romantically involved.
Unequal marriage
The real shock for the public was the marriage of Ekaterina Direktorenko with actor Kirill Emelyanov, who at the time of the celebration had just turned 18 years old. In marriage, Catherine and Cyril had two sons. And, according to Ekaterina, despite her youth, her husband perfectly copes with the role of father and breadwinner of the family.
