When was the university founded?
In the Altai Territory, an institution of higher education related to the agricultural sector began its activities in 1943. It was formed on the basis of the Institute, evacuated from the city of Pushkin in connection with the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. In the early years, the university that emerged accepted students in only 2 faculties - zootechnical and agronomic. In the future, in connection with the development of the educational institution, new structural divisions were opened in its composition.
The university became a university in 1991. Today it is a well-known educational institution in the Altai Territory. It is located in the capital of this subject of Russia - in Barnaul.
