Some terms remain relevant only due to a direct connection with the phenomena demanded by man. But time goes by, new technologies appear and replace less effective items. Among contemporaries, few people know what a supply is, unless they look into the encyclopedia. But before, neither the subsidiary farm, nor the peasant, nor even international trade and military operations could do without this valuable thing!

The fact is that the most ordinary horse has long passed into the category of luxury items, and not obligatory animals in the household. And where in the city to keep cattle? Most often, the meaning of the word "cart" refers specifically to peasants and merchants. Since the aristocrats had more noble and convenient ways of moving in the form of a carriage or a personal horse, and simpler people preferred to walk. In the past, even cities were quite compact and could be crossed with minimal effort.

In front of you is an ordinary wagon with or without sides. The word can be used with many verbs related to the transport of goods or people:
- equip the cart;
- hire;
- load on a cart;
- ride a cart, etc.
Ancestors used such a supply, which was used in everyday life, and in more extreme situations. If the load is too heavy, and soon the fair day, the bags are carried on a cart and sent to trade. Do you need to go to the forest for firewood for the winter? You are welcome! Massive trade caravans and army carts consisted of practically nothing but carts, only covered ones to protect themselves from bad weather or hide goods from the eyes of potential robbers.
Is it relevant to say this?
The term is rare, but not obsolete. It can be heard if you go to a village or area where the popularity of motor vehicles is low due to lack of roads or for other reasons, because suchsupply significantly facilitates the life of the owner. Citizens have their own vocabulary, strongly dependent on living conditions. Because of this, the concept seems dense, remaining only in fiction and history books.
